Beautiful and clean
Beautiful, spacious house in a great location. Upon arrival some bread, cheese, wine etc. was waiting for us. We stayed with our 3 children over New Year's eve and were close to everything; fireworks show, skating in the loop (Bannerman Park), swimming in indoor pool, sledding etc. We had a wonderful time. Thanks very much!
A nice stroll from the park, or The Rooms. A house on the Heritage Trail just far enough from the main streets to be quiet yet close enough to the action to walk. St. John's is a great city and the restaurants and some of the best anywhere. The house was good for 2 couples or even larger family. Still going through some renos but comfortable and clean. Well equipped kitchen and nice lounge and dining room. Big old Victorian house typical of the area. Enjoyed the outdoor deck and bbq. Early Sept is a good time to see this city. We would go back.
Large home, close to all the sights.
Lots of room for three couples. Great location in downtown St John's. Walk to restaurants, pubs and shopping.
A great family home feel to it.
Very comfortable with all the amenities for three couples!
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful heritage home for Easter weekend.
It is a wonderful place to stay with lots of room and very high ceilings. Almost every window offers gorgeous views of St.John's. Coffee while sitting in the window seat was a perfect way to start the day.
You can't beat the location! Bannerman Park is seconds away, the famous brightly coloured houses of St.John's are practically right across the street and clubs& restaurants are easily within walking distance.
This is a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend this home for anyone visiting St.John's!
Brier Visit 2017
This was our 3rd visit to St. John's, and our 2nd time staying at this wonderful property. At the risk of being repetitive, I cannot say how nice it was to be so close to the action of downtown St. John's. We did a little more exploring this time but still always ended up back in our beautiful rental property located right on the edge of the downtown.
Just like last time the house was/is fully equipped with everything you need to entertain yourselves and/or guests if that's your intent. We stayed for 10-11 days this time, and made our full breakfasts every morning. Much more relaxed and obviously a little less expensive that going out every morning.
Our last trip was in late Sept/early Oct. so some things albeit nice to have, were less important on this trip. The upstairs deck with Bar B Q wasn't used nearly as much this time as it was on previous trip.....but still really nice to have.
Due to the 160 kph winds we lost power for one day, as did everyone else around us. Tony was very concerned about our well being, even though his own sister (lives locally) was in more distress than we actually were.
Once again, we highly recommend this property. You will be impressed not only by the location, the property itself, but with the caring and kindness shown to his guests by the owner...Tony Redmond.
And yes Tony, we're definitely going to see you again.
Thank you so much for the hospitality.
