Just 15 km or 20 mins by taxi from Airport. This Balmain property can accommodate 6 adults.

Set in one of the world’s most beautiful cities we are located so close to the The Sydney Opera House, The Harbour Bridge, Barangaroo, Anzac Bridge, Darling Harbour, and Casino, Aquarium, Chinatown & Sydney’s CBD. Balmain today is one of Sydney’s’ most sought after Inner City Habourside locations with an enviable, friendly family village lifestyle.

A 12 minute ferry ride from Balmain to the City takes you past two of Australia’s most recognized icons. Under the spectacular Sydney Harbour Bridge and right past The Opera House to alight at Circular Quay. From the Opera House you can take a scenic walk along Sydney Harbour foreshore or through The Royal Botanic Gardens. Buses run every 15 mins.

From East Balmain Ferries run every 20 mins to Darling Harbour & City (Circular Quay/Opera House, & North Sydney.

The house is fully furnished including hotel quality white linen and towels, china, glassware, flatware and cookware. Set on two levels with internal wooden staircase . On the ground level is the kitchen, a combined pantry and laundry with WC and shower, then the formal dining room and elegant living/lounge room with French doors leading on to a front patio with unobstructed City and Habour views. Both rooms have white Carrara marble surround faux fire places. Upstairs are the 3 bedrooms each furnished traditionally. Front bedroom has a King size French Sleigh bed. There is an ensuite bathroom off the rear bedroom , which also has a French Queen size Sleigh bed and AC. The middle bedroom has a double sized antique brass bed.

Perfect

We were lucky enough to call this house "our home" for 7 days. 12 friends rented all three properties to celebrate New Years Eve. The location is perfect. We didn't need to leave the houses to see the fireworks. Lyn and Giacomo are wonderful hosts.

East Balmain fully equipped 3bedroom home away from home!

This house in East Balmain, just a few minutes from the ferry, was perfect for our family with three bedrooms and three bathrooms and tons of room to spread out and visit. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The view of the city from the decks is wonderful. We loved the easy access to the ferries to anywhere and close access to local shops and restaurants. The house is fully equipped with everything you might need. We lacked for nothing. Giacomo and Lyn were the ultimate hosts, even offering produce from their garden and assistance with anything we needed. They are delightful people. We highly recommend this home for a group or family and we would definitely come back to this place!!!

Excellent Sydney Home Stay

Seeing the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge has always been a dream of ours and finding this house so close to both and EVERYTHING ELSE made it just perfect. Public Transport is easy, efficient, but most importantly close by. The location is perfect with the Village of Balmain so charming and offering a great alternative to a wide variety of bars, restaurants, and shops.

Just as so many others before us have said the house is really lovely and well appointed. Well done Lyn and Giacomo. Top marks in all departments. ‘Highly Recommended’.

Giacamo and Lyn's home in Balmain provided the perfect location for 6 of us to explore Sydney and then come home to relax. Everything we needed was provided, including good information from Giacamo on the best way to get around, good restaurants and local sights and shops. They were generous and helpful from the first communication, making things as easy for us as possible, including front row seats on our terrace for fireworks over Darling Harbor! I hope we'll be back and would highly recommend this property!

We loved the location of Lyn and Giacamo's lovely home in Balmain East. We did not have a car but found that the ferry was an excellent and beautiful-for-sightseeing mode of transportation.

We enjoyed having our breakfasts in the well appointed and beautiful kitchen. The house is lovely...Lyn and Giacomo were most accommodating from the time we decided to book (6 months prior) to our last morning there and we would certainly highly recommend this beautiful property.
