Just a short 12 min Ferry ride from our home that passes under the SHB and right by the OH. And guess what? Taking the Ferry is by far the preferred option of residents in this area. It’s just a ‘spectacular’ way for them to start the working day.

The house is fully furnished. Hotel quality white linen and towels, china, glassware, flatware and cookware. Set on two levels with internal wooden staircase . On the ground level is the kitchen, a combined pantry and laundry with WC and shower, then the formal dining room and elegant living/lounge room with French doors leading on to a front patio with unobstructed City and Habour views. Both rooms have white Carrara marble surround faux fire places. Upstairs are the 3 bedrooms each furnished traditionally. Front bedroom has a King size French Sleigh bed. There is an ensuite bathroom off the rear bedroom , which also has a French Queen size Sleigh bed. The middle bedroom has a double sized antique brass bed.

Property is a safe ideal location to tour Sydney!

The pictures of the property are exactly as reported. We loved the lock box as we had 3 couples that shared and we were able to come and go as we pleased. We had come off a cruise and therefore had laundry to do..also ideal! The kitchen had everything we needed and the 3 bedrooms all had very comfortable beds..3 bathrooms also ideal. We loved that the deck overlooked the skyline of Sydney and we enjoyed the fireworks one evening. The property is a short walk to the ferry where we were able to access the inner harbour and everything we chose to tour. We even took the bus closer to property one night instead of walking...the transportation system is like clockwork here and very organized. We appreciated that the grocery store was a short bus ride away where we were able to stock up but the owners really had all of the staples so you only had to purchase a few things. We especially loved that the owner had Opal cards for each of us that we could simply load up with $$$ and continue on our travels for our 4 day stay. The owner was there to greet us and walk us thru all of the house and also able to give us some sound advice on travel, what to see and how to make the most of our 4 days. We loved Sydney and will gladly return to this property if its still available in the near future. You could not ask for better hosts. We are Canadian and can only say that the Australian people were so accommodating ,friendly and their country is a great adventure!. So much to see in Sydney--wish I would of stayed longer but loved seeing different parts of Australia as well. You will not be disappointed and the decor boasts some nice antiques as well.

Wonderful home, wonderful hosts, wonderful neighborhood!

My family and I stayed at Two Hearts for a week in October 2017 and felt like we were full time residents of East Balmain. Staying at Lynn and Giacomo's place was so comfortable and their home had everything we needed. Giacomo went above and beyond in helping us with our stay; from providing a cot for our last minute extra guest to our Opal cards for public transportation and even a lift into town for grocery shopping.

I highly recommend staying in East Balmain. The neighborhood is a quick ferry ride away from all the tourist spots and provides a real respite from being in the thick of tourists at the end of the day. The downtown area is an easy walk away and has everything travelers could possibly need; grocery store, liquor store, pubs, bakery goods store, coffee shops etc.

Getting around the Sydney area is so easy. The information Lynn and Giacomo provide prior to arrival has everything you need for a successful and stress free stay. Taking advantage of their expertise and guidance was really helpful with our day to day plans. Public transportation is extremely easy and very reasonably priced. Our group found Uber to be especially convient in the evenings after dinner in Sydney.

I enthusiastically recommend staying at this property! If you need a bit more room check out their sister property which can be attached via the back patio's. They are both beautifully appointed and absolutely adorable.

5 Wonderful Days in Sydney

This property was a great place to vacation if you would like a neighborhood community and still be in a large city. We loved Sydney AND we loved exploring the local neighborhood (East Balmain) where we stayed. Our location was close to the bus stops and ferry stops. Taking the ferry home on some evenings passing the Sydney Opera House and the Harbor Bridge was a big thrill we will always remember.

The property was perfect for three couples -- large kitchen and dining area, beautiful bedrooms, living room, and spectacular views of the city. The first night we watched fireworks over the city skyline from our front deck!

Lyn and Giacomo made every effort to make us feel comfortable and answered any questions about what the city had to offer. We took their advice on restaurants in our neighborhood, grocery shopping, transportation around the city and places to see.

One suggestion that is a must: use the Hop-On-Hop-Off Red Bus to familiarize yourself with the city.

As you can tell, all six of us had a great time at this condo and in Sydney!!

Wonderful place we really enjoyed our stay here!

This Place Was Awesome! The description on the Home Away web site was very accurate, in fact pictures really don't do it justice. The lay out of home was perfect for my friends and I. All the amenities of a hotel room and more! Large kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook a large meal, laundry machine and three bathrooms. The place is located on a corner lot and has unobstructed views of downtown Sydney. What we really loved was at the end of the day it felt like we were coming home rather than back to a hotel room.

The place was clean and well maintained, The ferry to Sydney and beyond is 10 to 15 min walk from the home. The main street to downtown Balmain (Darling st) is a short walk - plenty of pubs, coffee house and shops.

Lyn and Giacamo were great hosts and a joy to converse with. They gave us passes that we were able to use for all public transportation.and were very helpful with recommendations for places to go. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends.

Lastly, there is plenty to do and see! I would recommend The Sydney Eye, Climb the Bridge, and a great little coffee shop walking distance from the place - Berlin.

Wonderful Home in Balmain - Great Owners

Our family spent eight nights at two properties that Lyn and Giacomo own at 12 Grafton Street in Balmain. We were in Sydney to cheer on my son and his Stanford University Football teammates as they took on Rice University in an American Gridiron contest. We wanted to be in close proximity to downtown Sydney but not stay in the heart of the city. Lyn and Giacomo's homes are perfectly situated in Balmain, just a short ten minute ferry ride to Circular Quay or downtown Sydney. From Circular Quay you have easy access to all of Sidney and the surrounding towns. Balmain itself is a great little town with good restaurants, bars and shopping.

The houses are fully equipped with every amenity you would need while on vacation. The view from the rooftop and front windows is an amazing site of the harbor and the city of Sydney.

In addition to your wonderful accommodation, you'll have the pleasure of meeting Lyn and Giacomo as they do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. Both went out of their way to familiarize our family with Sidney and recommended many things we should do during our stay.

I would highly recommend their homes. When I come back to Sydney I'll be staying at Lyn and Giacomo's.

Adored this property!

What a wonderful time we had at Lynn and Giacomo's place!! The apartment is enormous, beautifully designed and decorated, with great natural light and fabulous views. We loved using the ferries to go to downtown Sydney, and then escape back to the wonderful area of Balmain. The kitchen equipment was first-rate and made cooking a real joy, not always the case in rental places. Fantastic restaurants, coffee, and massages to be found on Darling Street in Balmain. Lynn's suggestions were very useful and the food from Indian Palace was especially memorable. There were four of us (two couples) and we all adored everything about our stay.
