About Martin Lisboa
From London and presently living in London with my wife and two sons. I speak Italian after having lived in Italy (Milan and Lucca) for many years and my wife is Italian too. I am an author of Business English and Academic English books published by Cambridge University Press and teach at Imperial College Business School in London. What 5 things could we not live without? Air, Friendships, Laughter, Red Wine, Cooking. Favourite travel destination is the sea, the spaghetti allo scoglio, the aromatic plants and the pinetta at Marina di Vecchiano on the coast in Tuscany where we used to live. Style of travelling ranges from backpacking to luxury hotels and everything inbetween.

A fabulous apartment, a splendid host!
We stayed at Martin's apartment for 4 days. The apartment is clean, very comfortable, and the location is terrific - only 2 min from the nearest tube station! Martin himself was extremely friendly, generous and helpful - we could not have hoped for a better host. It's a great deal for your money - highly recommended!

The flat was very well located, just around the corner from the Swiss Cottage tube so easy to get around. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Martin was an excellent host, he met us at the flat and explained everything and highlighted where the nearest shops were; good quality supermarkets just a short walk away. We had a fantastic week, 2 adults and 2 children. The little markets near the tube were great for picnic items. Make sure you check out the views at night from Primrose Hill.

Convenient alternative to a hotel, near the Tube and buses
Our family of four stayed here for a week, and we were quite pleased. In the past we have stayed in hotels, but with kids aged 10 and 12 we wanted a bit more space. Martin answered our questions promptly and cheerfully met us at the flat, even though we were delayed at the airport.
The kids shared a room that had bunk beds that they said were quite comfortable, and they loved the cool lighting elements. The wifi worked easily. Our bed was comfortable as well, and the storage is ample for storing your belongings.
This flat is conveniently located to the Tube station -- just around the corner -- and we also enjoyed taking a 31 bus to the Camden markets and the 13 bus past the Christmas lights to the shopping areas of Oxford Circus and Regent Street and on to Covent Garden.
We happened to arrive on a Wednesday, when a farmers market was open, and there are several stores in a short distance for anything you need. Our favorite walks were through the neighborhood to St. John's Wood, and to Primrose Hill, perhaps the best vantage point to see the whole city.
We would absolutely stay here again!

The apartement was just like we expected it to be! We had a wonderful time in London and we were always happy to go back 'home' to the apartement after a busy day. Me, my husband and our two boys (age 8 & 5) loved the neighbourhood, the playground just outside, the shops, the quiet street, and the superb short walk to Primrose Hill. We would absolutely recommend this place!

"The apartment was very clean, light, modern, extremely well designed, and welcoming, with a good personal hand-over. We found everything we needed for a couple and two (adult) children--the accommodation includes a fold-out double sofa in the living room. It would also be fine for a couple with younger children The apartment is sunny and well maintained, elegantly furnished and kitchen well equipped for a week''s stay or more. The location is convenient, close to the Jubilee line and near to the Hampstead Theatre, so access to central London is very fast--15 minutes to get anywhere. The area itself has good food shops and restaurants close by, yet the street and outlook over the garden and park at the back are quiet. We would stay there again with pleasure. The price is reasonable and facilities good. The apartment is up two floors, and the stairs not renovated (unlike the apartment itself--don''t be put off) so anyone who has a problem with stairs might not want to take it. We had no problems and enjoyed our stay. The owner is thinking of adding a dryer to the existing washing machine. Generous fridge and freezer and storage cupboards. Contacts with the owner were friendly and easy. Plenty of books in the apartment."

"Beautifully presented apartment with everything you need, in a top location only 2 minutes from the London Underground station and minutes from the central city by train. The owners are friendly, helpful and totally professional from the first enquiry to check out. Wonderful experience. I highly recommend this apartment for families (we are a family of 5) and for couples - anyone wanting a really nice place to stay that is well located for transport. (Also an easy walk to the city via beautiful Regents Park)."
If you are coming from within London by public transport, take the tube (underground) to Swiss Cottage Station on the Jubilee Line - the apartment is one minute walk from here. It's one hour from Stanstead Airport by coach which drops off at Finchley Rd. We are 5 mins walk from this dropoff point. Alternatively, we are within easy reach of all other London Airports via public transport (approximately 1 hour by train/tube from Gatwick Airport and 60-90 minutes from Heathrow on tube or tube/train or 30 minutes by taxi) For a more precise location reference, the apartment is located at 33 Winchester Road, London NW3 3NR - consult google maps.
