About Laurie Davis

Van and I have lived in the Northwest for 22 years. We fell in love with the beauty and outdoor activities.

Laurie Davis purchased this house in 2013

Why Laurie Davis chose Washington State

We wanted a view of nature, a large outdoor living space, lots of natural light, high ceilings, wood floors, and we like the craftsman style of our home. We can walk down or bike to the Salmon Creek Trail and a short drive downtown to restaurants, cafes, and the waterfront along the Columbia River. We enjoy going to Portland, which is nearby. We hike in the Columbia River Gorge and ski at Mt. Hood. On weekends the beach is a 2 hour drive. We love the Northwest!

My husband says, "We need to visit this house again in the future".

  • 5 of 5

A cousin's wedding brought us to the Vancouver/Portland area. We rented this house instead of multiple hotel rooms for a multigenerational weekend together. I am a frequent AirBnb and VRBO traveler - and this was our favorite rental so far. Let me tell you why:

1) Everyone raved about the refreshing showers and comfortable beds. Plus there is an outdoor hot tub to soak and enjoy the scenery.

2) It was if we were using Aunt Laurie's home while they were away. Laurie checked in with us upon arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. She is very organized and we were able to find anything our hearts could desire. Plus there were fresh eggs from the neighbor waiting.

3) Top of the line furnishings and household goods. Including all the spices, oils and condiments that make you want to eat at home.

4) Convenient and easy location. Quiet and beautiful neighborhood.

Hope to return and visit this house again in the future.

Great!

  • 5 of 5

House and neighborhood was very nice and quiet. For our family visit which included newborns to 80+, this was a great environment. Large open plan home with dining tables that 12-14 could comfortably sit and enjoy a meal was great. The outdoor deck also had a large table for an additional 8. My large extended family came to visit throughout our time in Vancouver, so the house was perfect. The beds were comfortable and having a bed and bathroom on the main level worked out great when my dad who is 82 joined us for a night.

The owners were very communicative with offers to accommodate with additional items throughout our visit.

Nightlife in Vancouver and Portland were conveniently located about 8-10 miles via the freeways, and being so close to I-5 and I-205 was helpful . Uber trips for the 20 somethings were very reasonable.

Thanks again to our hosts and this is a home we will return to for future visits.

Nice Stay

  • 5 of 5

The property is beautiful and quiet. We slept serenaded by an owl and woke to have tea looking out of the forested hill below.

I had difficulty using the Apple TV and entertainment center, but that's more comment on my technical skills that on the electronics.

The property owners made us feel welcome with a written note and a bottle of wine and a bottle of cider. They always responded quickly to our questions. When our travels bring us back to the area we'll definitely look to see if this property is available.

Daughter's Wedding

  • 5 of 5

We live in the Midwest and traveled out to Vancouver for our daughter's wedding which was in Portland. The open floor plan of the home was very inviting and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed the back deck overlooking the greenbelt....to say it was peaceful and quiet would be an understatement. The owner, Laurie, was very attentive to our needs and stayed in touch throughout our stay...we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. Thank you Laurie!
