About Laurie Davis

Van and I have lived in the Northwest for 22 years. We fell in love with the beauty and outdoor activities.

Laurie Davis purchased this house in 2013

Why Laurie Davis chose Felida

We wanted a view of nature, a large outdoor living space, lots of natural light, high ceilings, wood floors, and we like the craftsman style of our home. We can walk down or bike to the Salmon Creek Trail and a short drive downtown to restaurants, cafes, and the waterfront along the Columbia River. We enjoy going to Portland, which is nearby. We hike in the Columbia River Gorge and ski at Mt. Hood. On weekends the beach is a 2 hour drive. We love the Northwest!

A beautiful, well-kept home

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in Laurie's home. There was constant communication with the owners before, during and after our visit. There was no trouble at all checking in or operating all appliances. Everything was spelled out for us. The house looks exactly like the photos. It was beautiful, clean and well-kept. Obviously the owners took great care of their home. There is a hot tub outside on the verandah but the weather was too cold for us to use it. I loved the backyard and it looks perfect for a campfire or barbecue during the warm months. Trees and foliage surround the property which gives you a nice view and a relaxing environment. The spacious kitchen is equipped with modern appliances so it was a joy to cook in it. The 3 bedrooms each had bathrooms and all had comfy beds. We were a group of 6 adults and there was so much space for all of us to lounge in. The house is located in a quiet, residential area near a school and a golf course. There is a gas station and a big Fred Meyer grocery / strip mall about two miles away. We never heard any noise coming from the street or the neighbors. Overall, we enjoyed this lovely home and it was a pleasure dealing with the owners. We will gladly stay here when we visit Portland/Vancouver again.

Precisely as described

  • 5 of 5

Everything was exactly as presented in the description. Laurie was a phone call away, but we didn't need a thing. There also a nice hiking area close by, that we took advantage of.

The owners were very helpful the home was very well kept. There were eight of us and it did not feel cramped at all.

The backyard was extra beautiful with fresh tomatoes on the vine, and the hot tub was wonderful. Definitely recommend!

My husband says, "We need to visit this house again in the future".

  • 5 of 5

A cousin's wedding brought us to the Vancouver/Portland area. We rented this house instead of multiple hotel rooms for a multigenerational weekend together. I am a frequent AirBnb and VRBO traveler - and this was our favorite rental so far. Let me tell you why:

1) Everyone raved about the refreshing showers and comfortable beds. Plus there is an outdoor hot tub to soak and enjoy the scenery.

2) It was if we were using Aunt Laurie's home while they were away. Laurie checked in with us upon arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. She is very organized and we were able to find anything our hearts could desire. Plus there were fresh eggs from the neighbor waiting.

3) Top of the line furnishings and household goods. Including all the spices, oils and condiments that make you want to eat at home.

4) Convenient and easy location. Quiet and beautiful neighborhood.

Hope to return and visit this house again in the future.

Great!

  • 5 of 5

House and neighborhood was very nice and quiet. For our family visit which included newborns to 80+, this was a great environment. Large open plan home with dining tables that 12-14 could comfortably sit and enjoy a meal was great. The outdoor deck also had a large table for an additional 8. My large extended family came to visit throughout our time in Vancouver, so the house was perfect. The beds were comfortable and having a bed and bathroom on the main level worked out great when my dad who is 82 joined us for a night.

The owners were very communicative with offers to accommodate with additional items throughout our visit.

Nightlife in Vancouver and Portland were conveniently located about 8-10 miles via the freeways, and being so close to I-5 and I-205 was helpful . Uber trips for the 20 somethings were very reasonable.

Thanks again to our hosts and this is a home we will return to for future visits.
