Disappointing

When you look at the pictures of this unit you think because of the kitchen update it is a lovely newly renovated condo. However it is only the kitchen that is new. The rest of the condo is dated, the carpets needed replacing or at least cleaned. The dark mirrors on the wall made the unit very dark and as you don’t get the sun until the late afternoon made it dreary for most of the day. The furniture needs to be updated or recovered. A coat of white paint on all the walls, new flooring, and bright art on the walls would do much to make this unit more appealing. The biggest problem for us was the constant pounding of the waves and not being able to close the outdated louvered windows to get a good night sleep.

Lovely view!

We enjoyed our stay. Lots of beach towels and plenty of towels for the kitchen and bath. The kitchen was really well equipped although some of the non stick pans are pealing and scratched and need to be replaced. Loved that there were ice packs in freezer. The only draw back was the bed. The mattress needs to be replaced. We woke up with stiff backs. And, the sheets didn't stay put on the mattress. Rarely used the air conditioner. The ocean breeze was enough to cool it down. The facility was immaculate. The pool was clean and grounds kept up perfectly. Barbecues were always ready to go. Great trip!

Always a pleasure!

Best unit in the whole place! Furniture is a little tired and it could use some new towels (Towels are clean but stained and bath mat needs to be replaced) but otherwise perfect! This is our go-to place in Kona! Brian, the on-site manager, keeps the place in tip-top shape -- the man never stops!!!

Kona Isle

A well appointed modern unit facing the ocean on pretty and well maintained grounds. The unit photos and representation are accurate and cost of rental is a good value. We would come again to the Kona Isle. Minor short comings are poor broadband connection in the unit and AC could not keep up with the afternoon heat. Forget the AC, open the windows and doors and enjoy the Kona breeze.
