This is the best affordable condo in Kahalu'u beach with a million dollar view! The condo on the top floor and the lanai is on a corner that overlooks the bay - it is spectacular! Beautiful sunsets from the comfort of the Lanai as you can see in the photos. The unit is super clean and the kitchen is newly updated. I have stayed at many condos in Kahalu'u and this is by far the best deal and the best location. The unit also has basic beach gear in good condition. This is a top notch quality vactation rental at the price - and trust me I've stayed at a lot of them. Oh! And also important - it sits up about a half a block from Ali'i Drive so it is quiet from the noise of the traffic. If you are lucky to book it - don't hesitate.
And in regards to the other post by David D - perhaps he is new to Hawaii but lots of fans is a GREAT THING - all you have to do is open up the windows, turn the fans and let the sea breeze cool it down. using an air conditioner is a last resort because you want to smell the sea and flowers on the breeze. But if you want to cool the unit with the air conditioner - you can!! Just close it up and cool it. Too bad he didn't figure that out because the unit is fabulous and you can't beat the view.
We picked this property for its location, which was just perfect, a two-minute walk to Kahalu'u Bay.. However, upon arrival, it was stifling inside, and we found one tiny air conditioner in the bedroom, and SEVEN fans throughout the small apartment. Kona had been very hot during the summer, and was still topping out at 85 in December. We read the "writing on the wall" and changed to another location managed by the same company (SunQuest), which I have to report was done really well and expeditiously.
