Why Erin Millus, property manager chose Red Hook
Our home is nestled on the fringe of the village of Red Hook. It is private and ideal for those that want a respite from busy life yet can still access the great eats and attributes the Hudson Valley has to offer. We work hard to makes sure our guests experience whatever the time of year has available. Our property celebrates all four seasons with gusto utilizing whatever mother nature has in stock...Fresh flowers, potted herbs, cornstalks, berries, pumpkins, and evergreens. If it isn't reflected in the décor than it is in the house is located on a working farm where produce and fruit in season is readily available. We are currently getting ready to host events and small weddings with an adjacent tent site so please don't hesitate to inquire.

This is the second Thanksgiving we’ve stayed at the farmhouse. It is spacious and very comfortable for a large family. It allows us to bring together lots of family. The house is fully stocked and equipped. Both Erin and John are welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect. We had the added bonus of meeting some of the farm animals. We will stay again next year.!
The perfect place for us
We stayed at the Hardeman Homestead for a wedding. We were a crowd of family and friends who enjoy cooking and spending time together. It's a beautiful house with everything provided. The description was excellent, so we could figure out who was sleeping where before hand. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishes, and many more staples than most places we've stayed. It's a beautiful setting and a very peaceful house. Although it was hot out, the house stayed cool and comfortable.
There's a fabulous swimming hole a short drive away. Directions were provided and we loved the pond, the docks and the serene surroundings. Beverly, who was filling in for Erin while she was out of town, was very responsive and helpful, without being at all intrusive.
This is a farm, so there were chickens, ducks and other animals around, which was fun. However, the house is well insulated for sound, so we could enjoy them when we were outside, but not hear them inside.
Bubby's burritos are across the street at the end of the drive and were happily devoured by all. There are several wonderful farm stands near by and a grocery store just 5 minutes away; not to mention Bard and downtown Red Hook. This is a charming place to stay.
I needed a large enough house for my family to be all together for the Thanksgiving holiday. The house is spacious and immaculate while still maintaining the charm of an old farm house. The host was gracious and very atuned to the needs of a family with young children and stocked the house accordingly. The location is perfect to explore and enjoy Dutchess/Columbia County. We will definitely be returning.
Old school charm
Old school charm. Erin and John were very nice and accommodating during our stay. Only downfall there's only 1 TV and it's located in one of the upstairs bedrooms.
I rented this property to spend New Year's week there with my family. It was such a wonderful experience. Erin was very easy to communicate with and made sure that the house was in perfect condition for when we arrived. She even had welcome treats for us and some items in the fridge!
The house is beautiful... it is exactly the way it's described in the listing. It's very warm and cozy! The only thing I was not a big fan of was the water pressure on the upstairs bathroom. Besides that, I would definitely stay at this Farmhouse again when I go to Red Hook.
Thank you Erin for a wonderful stay!!
Great July 4th!
Erin and John were fantastic hosts. Erin greeted us and answered whatever questions we had (though we had few because the place was perfect). We spent time exploring, playing whiffle ball, cooking and relaxing. It was the ideal weekend escape from the city for us and our friends.
