Overview

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bath on 2.5 Acres, 15 min. to Joshua Tree, Views, Luxurious

This utterly spectacular beauty awaits you to experience this recently built magnificent home located on 2.5 acres. Gorgeous master bedroom suite with King Bed is a respite within your own private retreat. Sink into the gorgeous huge master bath with luxurious modern tub. Also, 2 fabulous guest bedrooms on the opposite side of the house, both with Queen Beds and separate patios.

Beautiful clerestories to capture the full range of beauty of the High Desert.

Around 2 hours from LA, this spectacular oasis is worlds away from the stresses of big city life, an escape to your own private aerie you'll never forget.

Huge Retracting sliders open from the living room to patio, erasing the lines between indoors and out. House also has 2 back-to-back fireplaces, one in the living room, one on the "outdoor living room"

Enjoy relaxed evenings of long conversations, star-gazing, singing, whatever. Or, venture out to the Joshua Tree National Park, go antiquing nearby at our local shops (I've found some really wonderful things over the years) Of course, you have to go to Pappy and Harriet's at least once. It's only about 10 minutes away in a famous old Western Movie-set 'town' called Pioneertown, lots of live music and a mixed scene of locals, LA crowd, Europeans, everyone loves it!

The delightful landscape that surrounds the property has been lovingly and artfully developed over the years to expound on the true character of the desert while alluding to a passion for art and history. At the front of the floating concrete stairs a hay baler beckons you closer -- You'll find pieces of windmill wings, thick rusty steel fence panels, a sculpture of found desert objects to lift one's perspective.

It's also only 30 minutes to Palm Springs and all that has to offer.

Modern tranquility

  • 5 of 5

We spent 5 wonderful winter days and nights at this desert oasis. We hiked joshua Tree National Park and saw a different landscape and weather pattern each day. The big open kitchen is a delightful place to create great meals! There are lots of places to sit and read or talk, follow the sun around the house, star gaze or enjoy a cocktail while grilling dinner. The living spaces bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful. With artwork, artifacts fabrics and linens perfectly curated for this wonderful home away from home.

Stunningly Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and two friends stayed for five nights and hated to leave. Aesthetically gorgeous modern house filled with beautiful art and well-equipped. We could be in one end of the house with an amazing bedroom filled with a comfortable king-sized bed, walk-in closet, stunning bathroom with two sinks and a shower where we watched a jack rabbit outside, and a wall of windows where we watched sunrises over the mountains, sunsets, and a full moon, and our friends loved their bedroom and bathroom at the other end. The kitchen is filled with all the equipment you need to cook simple to gourmet meals. And we saw a trio of coyotes, bunny rabbits, and quail. The landscaping is beautiful as well with desert flora, buddhas, and antique farm implements. We spent every day at Joshua Tree, a 20 minute drive away. And we went to Pappy and Harriets Monday night that is Open Mic and our friend played there. Good food and great vibe. All communication worked efficiently and well with the owner and manager. We can't wait to come back!

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I decided to take a short vacation. Although there are great pictures on the site, it doesn't do justice to what a beautiful and comfortable home in the desert. We were so impressed by the small details in the home and also from all of the great communication from the owner and the manager. Very quiet and secluded except for the coyotes in the backyard! We will definitely return for a longer visit.

WOW, just WOW.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a romantic getaway and could not have loved it more! The house is incredibly designed and beautifully maintained in the mid-century modern style, decorated with Palm Springs flair. Huge windows throughout the house provide views of the mountains. There are lots of great places to take in the views both inside and outside the house—we liked the front deck for coffee hour, the back porch for cocktail hour, and the reclining chairs off the master bedroom for star gazing at night. The outdoor area is beautifully landscaped with flowering cactus and other beautiful desert flora.

It has a great open kitchen perfect for cooking as well as a grill.

We spent most of our time at Joshua Tree national park hiking and taking in the majesty of nature. The house is very close to the Yucca Valley park entrance and a short 20 minute drive from the main Joshua Tree park entrance. Very convenient by car. While there we also checked out Pappy + Harriet’s in Pioneertown, 29 Palms, the Noah Purifoy sculpture museum, and the Joshua Tree farmer’s market on the weekend. Overall, we found the location perfect for all the sightseeing we wanted to do.

It was definitely luxurious to stay there as two people...it’s the perfect size house for a group of friends or family to stay with 3 bedrooms and plenty of space to stretch out.

We highly recommend it and CAN’T WAIT to go back!!

JT House

  • 5 of 5

Rented this amazing house in April 2016 for a family vacation to the Joshua Tree area. Amazing modern house that pays homage to mid-century modern design. Enjoyed multiple hiking trips in Joshua Tree, went to Palm Springs for a day, and of course visited Pappy + Harriet's. We'll be back !

Amazing Joshua Tree getaway

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful property was ideal for a terrific Joshua Tree getaway from LA. The house has luxury finishes inside and great views of the surrounding landscape outside. The pictures and description on the VRBO page represent the property well. The kitchen is well equipped for meals in. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property.
