House has plenty of communal and private indoor & outdoor spaces, including an outdoor side-hall gallery porch, balcony, as well as a beautiful private yard with a patio and screened-in porch perfect for relaxing or entertaining (or both). Bdrm.1 - king-sized bed, Bdrm.2 - queen-sized bed & 1 twin-sized bed, Bdrm.3 - 2 twin-sized beds, Bdrm.4 - 1 queen-sized bed. The house can accommodate 6-9 people comfortably. This is/was our 1st home in New Orleans. We absolutely love the house, neighbors & neighborhood. As such, we could never imagine selling the house. We built a new house in the past couple years but still live 6-8 blocks away in the Irish Channel.

Very comfortable house, sweet gazebo

The house was exactly as advertised, and we had a very nice stay. We would stay there again. We loved the screened and lighted gazebo in the back yard next to the little lime tree and lots of tall greenery. We used public transit to get to the convention center and the French Quarter, and walked the easy 2 blocks to Magazine Street many times, where there are wonderful restaurants, pubs and interesting shops. It was a nice fit for three couples and one single staying in NOLA for eight nights.

Absolutely loved it. It had every amenity that we needed.

We loved the house & the location. It was within walking distance of Magazine Street & other great eating places & shops. I would definitely highly recommend this house & will stay there again. The back screened in deck is perfect for playing games & early morning coffee. We utilized all of the house & back yard. If you want a clean house with a lot of character, this is the house for you.

Perfect house for us! Large, comfortable, well appointed and gracious owner.

We were here for a graduation. Our family of six adults stayed here - so the four bedrooms were perfect. Richard stopped by when we were checking in to follow up on the cleaners and make sure all was in perfect order. Later, he stopped by to bring extra chairs for outside.

Kitchen is well equipped, bathrooms nice and the WC/ half bath useful. The house is convenient to public transportation and Magazine Street.

We love NOLA and when we return, would definitely consider staying at 3214 Laurel Street in Richard's house if we needed a large house again.

Exceeded expectations

The pictures of the house do not do it justice. It is huge, with a lot of extra space in both the common areas and the bedrooms. It is located on a safe block, in close proximity to a lot of restaurants and shopping on Magazine Street. Richard was also very accommodating.

Great house, excellent location

We stayed here for the second time for our yearly family gathering. The house is very comfortable, and in easy walking distance to shops, bars, and restaurants. Richard, the owner, is a local, and is very easy to work with and super responsive to questions. We definitely plan to return!!
