Come to the Santa Fe serenity of the Guest House.
So much to do or do nothing at all. Located just 5 miles from the Plaza, 13 miles from the Ski Basin, across the road from Ten Thousand Waves Spa, and close to many hiking & biking trail. The Guest House has a king bed in the loft and a double sofa bed in the sitting area. Enjoy a full kitchen. Eat indoors or outside. Gas grill outdoors.
The views are awesome from the loft as well as from anywhere outside. Cool breezes for comfortable summers and pellet stove and electric heat for warm cozy comfort in winter time.
This wonderful abode has all the comforts of home. Washer & dryer. Cable HDTV, Wifi, private parking for 2 cars.
Georgia & Dawn live here on the property. We love to travel and go often, as well as enjoy the serenity and nature here in our Wilderness Compound. We enjoy friends a good bottle of wine and playing Dominoes.
Georgia & Dawn purchased this house in 1979
This place is spiritual, nature, all the faces of nature. Quiet, yet teaming with life of nature.
The quiet, but very close to everything. Museums, restaurants, so much culture and art.
I stayed at the guesthouse for a month. I was initially taken with the view but as the month wore on, I became very dissatisfied with the accommodations- definitely sub-standard. Owner sells the view and expects you to be blind to the garage sale quality accommodations. Nothing Santa Fe style: Outdoors plants in original black pots from nursery, plastic chair. Indoor furniture all battered,cheap- massive stains on couch, paint chipping, non-existent side tables, pleather table, no lighting in LR except for 2 small wall sconces. I kept a sleeping bag thrown over the smelly couch. There isn't a full kitchen-no oven, dishwasher, a cheap faucet causes water to go everywhere, under-cupboard fridge freezes food at the back, but 2 crockpots, coffee maker, a chipped enamel pot and cast-iron pan. No windows or fan in bathroom - yes, definitely appears to have mold - which I could smell when I first walked in so I turned on baseboard heater to dry out air in bathroom during the summer! A porous brick floor in Bathroom and Kitchen allows water penetration! (Accidentally spilled a pot of water and the water disappeared under the bricks before I could find a towel!)Shower head sprays floor - inevitably. Cheapest little Home Depot sink they could find. Had to keep all windows and doors open ALL the time to reduce mold smell. Actually many places water could penetrate the house - it has seen upkeep in years! I took pics to demonstrate but can't upload them here. I told owners I am chemically sensitive and they did not tell caretakers - so sheets had been dry cleaned and scented garbage bags caused a rash - until I aired everything out and got rid of scented bags. Feel very ripped off with the price -especially given other beautiful accommodations in Santa Fe. Booked this for the view and availability. Don't recommend for anyone given the price and the mold!!! In fact, I don't think it is legal to rent out properties that have mold!
This was an excellent private guesthouse with great mountain views. The house was a short drive or bike ride into town and right across the street from Ten Thousand Waves spa. Very close to the hiking and biking areas around Hyde Memorial Park, Santa Fe Ski area, and Dale Ball/Atalaya Mtn trails. I would definitely recommend to friends/family and will stay there on future trips to Santa Fe.
