Judith purchased this House in 2000
Why Judith chose Port Townsend
From Aunt Clara’s everything in the Port Townsend National Historic District is easily walkable. Park your car in front of the cottage then forget it. It’s only a three minute walk to the Rose Theater and the DOWNTOWN stores and restaurants. A four minute walk to Aldrich’s Market ( aka “The Center of the Universe”). And two minutes to the UPTOWN shops and Saturday’s award winning Farmer’s Market. Very clean. . Privacy, quiet, & comfortable with a dynamite View.
What makes this House unique
Most people love sitting at the window watching the boats and eagles. It's a magical place when the flowers bloom and a comfy & cozy place when it rains. .

What a wonderful place! I've been to Port Townsend many times and always love the town but this was the perfect location to enjoy it. It's on a lovely street and just a five minute walk to everything - downtown, movie theaters, restaurants, local market. At one point, I realized it had been 10 days since I'd been in the car because everything I needed was right there. I enjoyed having coffee in the morning at the table by the window while looking out at the water. The cottage had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful, but not intrusive, and very responsive to questions and requests. I would definitely go back to Aunt Clara's Cottage!
Beth, thank you. We loved having you here and hope you will consider Aunt Clara's Cottage your home when you visit Port Townsend. Come back soon. JL
Great location, comfortable house, amazing landlords, and even nice neighbors
I very much enjoyed my stay at Aunt Clara's Cottage. It's a perfect location to walk to the Wooden Boat Festival, downtown restaurants, and even the Uptown Farmer's Market. Judith and Robert were wonderful hosts--very helpful, but never intrusive. The only negative that I can think of is that I didn't have time to stay another month.
COME BACK !!!!!!
Great Location & View
Cottage was clean & very well equipped for a longer stay. Hosts very helpful. We are going back.
The month went so fast and you guys were the perfect guests. So glad you will be with us again in 2018.
Adorable 1 bedroom, full kitchen cottage with a beautiful ocean view and garden
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Aunt Clara's cottage. The location could not be better with the town The landlords are there to help but no problem....very friendly Will definitely come back!!! Love it!!!!
We loved this charming 1940's cottage in Port Townsend
The cottage is a charming property with beautiful views of the Bay and ferries; a gorgeous english garden that surrounds the house and fills the back yard; a comfortable living room/dining area with Direct TV; a good bed (!) and a fully stocked kitchen. It is in a lovely quiet neighborhood of Victorian homes and yet walking distance to downtown and uptown areas. The owners of the property, Judith and Robert are really nice, friendly, helpful but also respect the privacy of their guests. We really appreciated them. We also fell in love with Port Townsend. There is so much to do, great bookstores, art, music and events. We also visited the Olympic National Park and Neah Bay and Victoria. Its a great base for travel around the area by ferry or car. We highly recommend Aunt Claras cottage and hope to return for future visits.
We enjoyed our stay in this well cared for, comfortable cottage, located in a beautiful garden. Their outside dining areas were greatly appreciated. We found Port Townsend to be a great walking town, with many small cafes within easy reach. There are many activities in Port Townsend during July; we took advantage of many of them. Judith and Robert were knowledgeable, helpful hosts, and we high recommend this accommodation.
Recommend in magazines as one of the best small towns in America. Unparalleled beauty of water and mountains. Very friendly town. PT information and articles can be found on the Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce site. 4 minute walk to UPTOWN or DOWNTOWN stores.
