Charming Fairfield townhome beautifully situated in a quiet ridge-top neighborhood with stunning mountain, desert and city views. Comfortable two bedroom, two bath home with comfortable furniture and a fully equipped kitchen. Three newly refinished patios provide private, shaded entertaining space with sunset views.
Two beautiful swimming pools, spas and tennis courts are only a few minutes' walk away in the immaculate neighborhood that also features open areas of mature desert landscaping. Don't be surprised if you see deer, quail, road runners, rabbits, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, hawks and other wildlife when you relax on the patio or walk in the neighborhood. Sabino Canyon, Mt. Lemmon, Pima Canyon, Saguaro National Park and numerous parks are close by and offer superb walking, hiking, bicycling and birdwatching. Golfers are spoiled for choice with a number of world-class golf courses nearby.
The cultural and historic attractions of the University of Arizona and downtown Tucson are a short drive away, as are numerous markets, cinemas, shopping plazas and spas. You are close enough to the university and downtown that spur-of-the-moment trips are not a chore, but far enough away to feel like you have escaped to the serenity of the desert and mountains.
Even closer by is La Encantada, which offers some of the best shopping and dining in Tucson. A Whole Foods market is minutes away, as are other grocery stores, banks, household shops and fine art galleries. Within a ten minutes' drive are restaurants for every taste and budget, including Mexican, Italian, New American, Japanese, Peruvian and continental cuisines.
Casa Rosada offers the best in Southwestern living. You are surrounded by the unique and beautiful Sonoran desert, in the shadow of the soaring Catalina Mountains and overlooking the sparkling lights of Tucson, one of the region's most dynamic and welcoming cities.
The owners are long-time Tucsonans living overseas. The property manager is a native Tucsonan and lives nearby. Eventually, the owners will return to Tucson to live but for now they are happy to share their home in the desert with visitors.
Owner/Manager purchased this townhome in 2014
The home has three large patios, two of which are covered. The east-facing patio is in the front of the property and is well-screened from the quiet residential road by landscaping. The north-facing patio is off the dining area and kitchen and remains shaded all year-round, with views to the open desert to the west. The back patio faces the sunset, with views of the Catalina Mountains and of the city lights. This trifecta of patios allows outdoor living all year.
This lovely property settled on a ridge in the Catalina Foothills was exactly what we needed for our escape from the winter cold in Minnesota. The management could not have been more helpful with literature galore for tourists in Tucson and the surrounding area as well as out-state. The list of things to do is endless. If, however, you have a day or two that you don't feel up to running around, just know that the neighborhood itself offers a very welcoming walk. One more note, we appreciated the quick response from management to minor requests as we settled into our first experience with a VRBO.
The area is gorgeous with all the conveniences one might hope for in such a setting. You can certainly eat out at a huge array of restaurants or, you can enjoy dining at home with all the conveniences necessary to pull together a wonderful meal. This property is exactly as advertised. The Sonoran Desert is breathtaking. All you need to do is add your own charming selves. We are returning next season to Tucson and absolutely would rent it again.
We rented this townhome for the month of January and couldn't have been more pleased. The house was so comfortable and attractive and very conveniently located (loved having Whole Foods just down the street). It's a short drive to Sabino Canyon/Ventana in one direction and the beautiful La Encantada shopping mall in the other. The neighborhood was very quiet and great for walking. The house had everything we needed, i.e., plenty of towels, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. We enjoyed the gas fireplace on some of the cooler evenings and the amazing patio space during the afternoon. The home feels very private as there is a large arroyo in the back that is full of beautiful saguaros which separates it from other homes. Sunset views were amazing. Haley was great to deal with and very responsive. We hope to return to Tucson and this lovely home away from home.
Beautifully situated in the saguaro-studded foothills of the Catalina Mountains, the home is close to natural attractions such as Sabino Canyon and Mt. Lemmon: paradise for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and rock climbers. The Tucson Botanical Gardens, Tohono Chul Park and the world famous Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum are within easy striking distance.
Cultural attractions such as the University of Arizona's art, photography and history museums are minutes away, as are the Fox Theater, Temple of Music and Art, Tucson Art Museum and numerous art and photography galleries. The upscale La Encantada shopping plaza, home to several outstanding restaurants, is close by, as is a Whole Foods store. The restaurant scene in Tucson has improved vastly in recent years and cuisines within a five-mile drive of the townhome include Mexican, Italian, Japanese, Peruvian, continental and new American.
