I am a Knoxville native and graduate of The University of TN Knoxville. I am a special education teacher at Fulton High School, which is only 3 miles from my home. I am an avid runner and pet lover!

Why Catherine Venable chose East

I grew up just one mile away from my house, so the neighborhood is near and dear to my heart. The beauty, history, and convenience of this area of Knoxville are unbeatable. I bought this house in June of 2013. I completely remodeled the home and equipped it with all the necessary modern amenities while trying to maintain some of its original mid century charm. Before I purchased this home, it had been loved by only one family for 60 years. Many of the neighbors around me are the original residents or family members of the original homeowners.

What makes this house unique

The well-established adjoining neighborhood (North Hills) boasts beautiful tree-lined boulevards, dogwood trails, and historic homes. My home is in nestled away on a quiet, mature street with minimal street traffic, yet it is only minutes away from the University of Tennessee and downtown Knoxville.

East Knoxville

House is very cute. Recently renovated and smartly decorated. Plenty of space. Beds were comfortable. Quiet street. One complaint that I had was that the house was located off the highway that did not have a grocery store, etc. Very industrial. A few exits up however there was plenty. I would stay here again. Owner is very responsive.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. I'd be thrilled to have you stay for future trips to Knoxville. The house is located in an older residential area a few miles off of interstate 40 close to downtown Knoxville. When using i40 there is not a grocery store directly off of the Cherry st exit. However there is a Kroger on N. Broadway 2.3 miles from the house and a Walmart 3.6 miles in the opposite direction toward i640. My personal favorite is a local CoOp grocery store called 3 Rivers Market that is similar to a Whole Foods. It's located 3.2 miles from the house on Central Ave.

Wonderful place to stay!

We had a great time staying here during our time in Knoxville. The home is lovely and comfortable and made a great place to call home for our week in Tennessee. We had a small issue (my fault) and it the owner helped and fixed the problem right away. If we find ourselves in that area again we would definitely stay here! Thank you!

Fabulous!

Second time staying in this home in a 2 month period. The owner is wonderful to work with. She is very helpful and quick with responses. The house is beautiful with all of the amenities you could hope to have. We will definitely stay here again.

The home is beautifully decorated and has all the necessities you could want. Very clean and well maintained. A fun weekend spent with family to enjoy Easter. We enjoyed the beautiful weather, backyard and grilled out. Catherine was quick to respond to our questions. We will definitely stay here again!
