Deluxe Studio Unit, short walk to restaurants, shops, beaches, farmer's market!

Enjoy our hospitality with Kona Coffee, fresh fruit, cold drinks and more! Everything is newly remodeled with custom furniture and cabinets. Great value - stocked amenities in the bathroom, kitchenette and living area. Save on meals by cooking at home and fill the large refrigerator with groceries and snacks for the beach. The fully tiled condo has a king Novaform bed on a platform with lots of storage. While most units at the Kona Islander Inn have a small kitchen area in the bathroom, our living area features a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator/freezer with an ice maker, sink, microwave, convection/toaster oven, coffeemaker, rice cooker/steamer, and one burner hot plate, along with dishes, cookware and utensils. Also included are an A/C unit, a large ceiling fan, a flat screen TV, and private WIFI internet connection. The bathroom has a tiled shower stall, and a granite topped, custom built vanity. There are additional cabinets with plenty of storage in the bathroom.

Beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler are provided for your road trips or just a walk to the nearby beach.

The property features include tropical gardens, a gated pool and hot tub area with 2 large BBQ grills. A coin operated laundry facility is located in the same building. Beyond the gate of the complex is Ali'i Drive and the Ocean, where dining, shopping and recreation activities are a short walk away. We have an identical unit with an adjoining door which can be rented together or separately. Please see VRBO #620700 for availability of renting both units together.

My Best Stay Ever!

I have stayed at the Kona Islander Inn about 6 times in the past and this unit is by far the best I've seen. It has been upgraded and everything looks brand new. I arrived late in the evening and was happy to see fresh fruit and coffee for my morning breakfast. The location is perfect. You are within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and the farmer's market. The unit is on the second floor with no one above and is very quiet. The only glitch was when the A/C died at 5 PM one day. I emailed Robin and when I arrived back from dinner 3 hours later there was a brand new A/C purring away! I will definitely be staying here on my next trip.

Excellent stay!

Upon arrival, the unit was very clean and well-stocked with an assortment of amenities to allow for an easy adjustment to island life. Robin was very hospitable and offered her seasoned advice about the island. The location of the unit and the complex is near all the action of Ali'i Drive and proved to be the perfect homebase during my stay. Kudos to Robin and Steve for keeping such a nice unit!

The room was perfect for what we needed. Good location for all our big island activities (scuba/hiking/exploring). Walking distance to many restaurants and farmers market. Close drive to many strip malls and grocery. The room was perfect eating meals at home, relaxing on the patio or lounging in the very very comfy bed watching tv in the a.c. after a day of too much sun. We never had any issues with parking, we always found a spot right in main or overflow parking lot. Room was clean and stocked with all the amenities one might need (beach towels/chairs umbrellas/cooler/fully stocked kitchen/cleaning supplies/bug spray/sunscreen/map/guides/coffee/beer/water/fruit/etc), robin was super helpful and always in communication, wifi worked great. We are very glad we went with this location and that we found a unit that had been remodeled and had a.c. - it worked out perfect for us. Complex was quiet and clean, I'm glad we stayed there over a hotel/resort, seemed much more private and like having own place. We would recommend it to our friends and family for sure!

Great condo with perfect location

The condo was very comfortable and has everything you need for a nice vacation. A walk through the complex to the main street in Kona is a pleasure and makes a stay here easy and affordable. Many restaurants abound within the first few blocks and shopping is nearby including a large well stocked grocery store. We enjoyed quiet evenings on the balcony overlooking the swimming pool and spa and the nights are quiet with no street noise. A pleasure to stay here and we'll be back to the same unit.

Clean Comfortable and Great Location

Robin and Steve's condo is in the heart of Kona, just a minute's walk to the beach. It was recently remodeled, is very clean and very comfortable. If / when we go back to the Big Island, we will again stay in one of their two units. The welcome fruit basket, Kona coffee, water and beer(!) was a very nice touch. When they heard of our late departure flight,they offered a late check-out time ... very flexible and accommodating!

Perfect Hosts & Fantastic Property

Renting through Robin was a fantastic experience for us; she went above and beyond what was expected and made us feel very welcome on our first trip to the Big Island. The unit was very well stocked with absolutely anything we could've possibly needed and then some. The room is very nicely remodeled and super clean. The bed is phenomenal, I have never slept so soundly in my life. I sincerely did not want to leave when our time was up even though we were moving on to stay with friends. We had heard mixed reviews about the Kona Islander Inn and since each unit is privately owned, we had no idea what to expect. If you are on the fence about renting here, look no further, you will not be disappointed renting this unit. Thank you so much for being such a great host Robin, we will definitely rent this unit again when we return to The Big Island.
