Northern Michigan has always been our family's favorite place to vacation. In the recent past we stayed at this cabin for a week with our family and fell in love with it. When we made the decision to buy property of our own we were lucky enough to learn that this home was available and we jumped at the chance to purchase it. We are making our home available to rent so that others families can enjoy it too.
Our log home has a perfect view of the lake, natural wood throughout, and a walkout to the sandy beach. It is also situated in close proximity to a lot of popular destinations, like Mackinac Island, Indian River, Traverse City, Petoskey and many beautiful golf courses.
We spent a week at this beautiful cabin. The cabin was very clean and well kept. The private beach was awesome and it kept our two kids (4 & 6 yrs) entertained all week between kayaking, canoeing, fishing & swimming. The fishing off the longer dock was perfect for my son. We were entertained with sunfish, bluegill, perch & we even landed a few catfish in the deeper water. We saw a black squirrel swim across the lake while canoeing. We used the outdoor fire pit a few nights and the owner was kind enough to stock us with some wood for the fire. We took a day trip to Mackinaw Island (45 minute drive from the cabin to Shepler's Ferry in Mackinaw City). The craftsmanship of the cabin is incredible, and the owner has done an excellent job of setting the cabin up to be toddler / infant friendly with the handmade gates at each staircase and on the deck. We typically try to vacation at a new location every summer, but it will be very difficult to not come back to this cabin. Thank you Tom and Julie for sharing this gem with us! We truly felt welcome and at home at your cabin.
We stayed at this beautiful home last week. There were five of us, including myself, two daughters and my two grandchildren (age 20 and 10). The pictures do not do it justice! We had a wonderful week fishing, canoeing and kayaking on the lake. We were also within 45 minutes of Mackinac Island, Petosky and zip lining. It was a good mix of relaxation and getting out and exploring the area. I would recommend this cabin to everyone. The owners were great and made sure we had everything we needed. We hope to return here in the future. Karen H.
