Amenities: 3500 sq. ft. 5+ bedrooms, 3 and ½ baths – sleeps 13 total, with no more than 10 adults. Central AC, wifi, basic cable TV, local/LD phone usage, heated in-ground pool, hot-tub, sunken trampoline, oversized gas grill, piano, basketball hoop, skateboarding 1/2 pipe, bikes, outdoor ping pong, and Ms. Pacman!
Sixx is a one-stop destination property for families or friends looking for a fun, easy, relaxed vacation in an upbeat, eclectic-yet-elegant setting. The main floor has a kitchen gleaming with shiny stainless steal appliances. There is a six-burner gas Viking range, enormous fridge, and two large dining tables that will easily accommodate your group. One table is located in the kitchen area and easily seats 8. The other long table is in the dining room, also seating 8 guests, easily. There is a small powder room on this floor plus a sun room, used year-round. This sun-room serves a dual purpose as a home office and also as an additional sleeping space, with a full-sized day bed, for an overnight guest or an early riser - this room has lots of natural light so would not be the best for a late sleeper! There is also a large, sunken, living room with flat screen TV, fun piano, propane stove, and plenty of comfortable seating PLUS a vintage Ms Pacman video game – no coins needed! There is a wonderfully organized space for gear in the back entry foyer, accessing the back porch with outdoor seating, pool, hot tub, etc.
Upstairs you have 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The luxurious master bedroom has a king sized bed, a single daybed, and a lovely tiled bathroom with a combination tub/rain shower-head. The second “green” bedroom has a queen-sized bed and shares a full bathroom – tub/shower – with the “lavender” bedroom with two twin beds. The last two guest bedrooms: the “blue” and “red” rooms each have two twins but the red room can also be made up as a king bed and both share another full bath also with tub/shower. Please see the chart below for easy bedroom planning! The third floor attic is every child’s dream with tv sitting area, crafts table, games, toys and two full-sized platform beds tucked into the eaves – which makes for a fun sleepover party!
Outside there is the large wooden deck with enormous gas grill, outdoor fridge, serving area, with table and chairs. At the far end of the deck is the in-ground hot tub, available year-round. The heated in-ground pool is gorgeous and has two wooden deck/platforms on either side for sunning, viewing, and shallow diving – children must always be supervised! There is also a sunken trampoline, a basketball hoop, bikes, outdoor ping-pong table. It’s very fun here!
Fully gated for privacy, the house is located on route 23 but sits back away from the road. The yard is large and has plenty of room for all kinds of outdoor activities. The entire home has white painted wood floors that makes it feel like a beach house, with an easy indoor-outdoor feeling and plenty of storage/gear provided for all the fun things one can do in and out of this home!

Hello! I am Claudia Laslie, owner and creator of Berkshire Rental Properties, specializing in both long and short term vacation rentals, throughout the Southern Berkshires, since 2005. My role is to act as liaison between renter and homeowner and to assist the owner in preparing their rental so that renters have a wonderful experience and want to return to the Berkshires again and again. I moved to Great Barrington in 2003 along with my two children who were quite young at the time. Looking to supplement my income, I would clean my house top to bottom, pack my kids into their car seats, and rent out my house for weekends. In talking about it with friends, one thing lead to another and before long I was helping others to do the same! My company has come a long way from those early vacation rental pioneering days... thank goodness. BRP provides seasoned guidance to both homeowners as they prepare their homes as well as to potential renters to help them find the best property that fits their needs. Great Family Week
We enjoyed a wonderful week with our two children, their spouses & our 3 grandchildren ages 2, 4 & 7. The house has so much to offer to keep children busy, plus a golf course next door for kids range practice & adult rounds. The open space of the house, natural light, pool, hot tub, trampoline, ping pong table, Ms Pacman - all made our stay easy & relaxed. The electric cover on the pool is a great safety feature with young children!
A Very Special Place!
We rented the house from mid January till the end of February this past winter to go skiing with our two young sons on weekends and over the winter school recess. The house is a very special place and as much as it was a pain packing up our family and driving after school every Friday from Long Island it was well worth it. It is super kid friendly and very spacious. Every weekend we would bring up a different family with us as guests and word spread quickly among the kids in our hometown of Atlantic Beach that the house was "sick". The half pike, in ground hot tub and trampoline, Ms Pac Man machine, attic and baby grand piano were among the favorites of the kids. Appliances, bedding, art work and other amenities all got an A rating from my wife who is tougher than a reviewer from Better Homes and Gardens! Although we don't know the owners my wife has said she can tell she would like them because their house has a special warmth.
The best endorsement I could give is that we are planning on renting the house again next Winter.

Wonderful Birthday Weekend
What a wonderful place to have a girls birthday weekend. The house is so very cool. I am an artist (painter) and work in the field of interior design, so it was fun checking out all of their interesting finds and arrangements- we were fascinated to discover that it was a Novogratz property! Loved Great Barrington and Hudson, NY.
Just FYI, We ended up hand washing all of the dishes because we could not get the dishwasher to turn on. We got the settings set, but the start button wouldn't start it! Maybe we were just doing something wrong but not sure. Also, we never got the wifi to work either.
We look forward to booking again in the future!
