If you are looking for a week, or more, of rest and relaxation in sunny FLORIDA, while having all the luxuries of a five-star hotel... You have come to the right place! VILLA FLOYD has everything you need to make your stay a memorable one. This fully furnished, three bedroom, two bath home is complete with private heated pool, Jacuzzi hot tub, and comes with its own 18' SeaCat power boat (optional) and private boat dock. It is located on a 120 foot wide, sailboat access canal, and just one minute to the Caloosahatchee River. Either by land or by sea, you are only a short trip away from Captiva and Sanibel Islands, or out into the Gulf of Mexico waters.
The 'Florida' family room, and two of the bedrooms have disappearing sliding glass doors which open up to the pool, screened lanai, as well as the dock and patio area. The family room is equipped with a large TV, DVD, VHS, CD/Stereo system, as well as a desk and modem with high-speed Internet service provided free. The kitchen has a sliding glass window (with pass through bar) that also opens to the lanai. Our house feels very spacious and open, while at the same time offering a split bedroom layout for privacy. The pool, Jacuzzi, and dock, patio area are located on the western side of the house, assuring you of wonderfully warm afternoons, and splendid sunsets.
All rooms are brightly decorated with ceiling fans throughout. The master bedroom features a king-size sleigh bed, private bath with walk-in shower, large walk-in closet, and comes with wall mounted cable TV and DVD player. The queen-size bedroom and two-twin bedroom each have cable TV with VHS players. The master bedroom is also separated from the family room and other bedrooms for added privacy.
The SeaCat boat is perfect for cruising the area canals, the Caloosahatchee River, as well as for boating to Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, or Captiva Island. It also works well as a fishing boat.
VILLA FLOYD is located in the Southeast portion of Cape Coral, and is only 20 to 30 minutes from the Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers. Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, and Captiva Island are also just a 20 to 30 minute trip and are accessible by boat or vehicles.
Whether it is in the heated pool, the Jacuzzi, on the enclosed lanai, the bi-level dock patio, or inside the house, we know you will enjoy a wonderful stay at VILLA FLOYD.
GREETINGS... As owners of Villa Floyd, Rebecca and I wanted to take the opportunity to make use of an online "GUEST BOOK" at our website. It is our hope that previous guests will make comments in this book (as well as in the one located at the house) about their stay at Villa Floyd, including items of relevance to our future guests. Be sure to mention places of interest and restaurants that you might recommend. Also, we would appreciate your comments about the property, its amenities, and your ability to interact with the owners to resolve any issues that may have arisen. Thanks for your time, and thanks for being our guests at Villa Floyd
Great property for family and/or guests. We enjoyed two weeks at Villa Floyd at the end of December 2015. What a great place to celebrate Christmas. Great floor plan that allows for plenty of space to entertain. We had 15 family members over on Christmas Eve for a fun-filled day and cookout. The house is dated but comfortable and perfect for swimming, boating, relaxing, etc. Rich and Rebecca were wonderful to work with on this rental property. It should probably be a 5-star rating based on Rich's ease to work with and response time. There were, however, a few minor issues to deal with when we arrived but in the end it did not detract in anyway from a very pleasant stay. I would absolutely return!
We had a great vacation at the Villa. Rich, the owner of the Villa, is more then accommodating when it comes to booking and all that goes with it. He even called after our arrival and made sure all was in check, felt like I had known him forever.
The Villa has a great lay out. You can tell the house is an older house but is completely updated and has a great floor plan. The master and master bath is on one end of the house so you are away from the kids cause the other bedrooms and bath are on the other end of the house. I think it is great the way the kitchen and living room open right up to the pool area. We rented the boat also and that was the cherry on top. We got to explore Sanibel, Ft Meyers Beach and all the little islands in between that could never seen or accessed by car.
The Villa is a great place, would love to be able to call it home instead of a vacation spot.
Our family of five plus pooch stayed at Villa Floyd for a week at the end of May. We were very comfortable at the house during our vacation. The house was very clean and comfortable. It didn't smell like animals had stayed there previously.
We had everything we needed during our stay. The house was very roomy. Beds were comfortable.
Rich Floyd was very helpful when we spoke to him with questions, or he had a huge book with great information on how things work, etc.
The neighborhood was very safe. We took our dog out late nights without feeling unsafe.
Our family really thought the pool was awesome. We spent most days in the pool or on the boat and then ate dinner out most nights. The jacuzzi was kind of a pain because we had to heat it and that took a whole day and we were afraid we would hit our electricity quota and didn't want to leave it on due to that, so we got to only enjoy that one night. It would've been nice to enjoy it nightly, but it's okay. We enjoyed it the one night we used it.
We opted to rent the boat with our stay. We went fishing daily and saw manatees. We don't have much fishing luck, but even WE caught a few each day. Captain Ron was helpful with our boating needs.
There is so much to choose from in the area to see, so, and eat. We took a drive to the beach. We ate out at cool restaurants.
We had a nice relaxing vacation at Villa Floyd and if we decide to come back to Cape Coral we look forward to staying here again.
This was our 7th stay at Villa Floyd. It is a wonderful home in a nice quiet neighbourhood. The villa has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. We went out on the boat most days and this year we finally made it to The Green Flash restaurant on Captiva. We just had to go this year, after Captain Ron recommended it to us and said that while there we should visit the restrooms. Well curiosity got the better of us. We wont say what we found as we don't want to spoil the surprise for others. Afternoons were spent relaxing by the pool before firing up the BBQ for our evening meal. Rich & Rebecca are great people to deal with. Any problems, they are only a phone call away. Rich always phones to check that everything was OK on arrival. We are already looking forward to next years visit.
This was our 3 year for staying at Villa Floyd; such a comfortable home (not just a house). The neighborhood is quiet, neighbors are friendly, easy access to everything by boat or car. The heated pool is wonderful, home is well stocked with everything you need. This year we had Christmas down there & stayed until Feb. 1st. The best Christmas I can remember. Swimming & eating grilled lobster beats the snow! The sliding window from the kitchen to the lanaii is perfect (just pass the dishes & food right thru), we eat all our meals pool side.
Rich & Rebecca (owners) are the "BEST". Any problems or questions are handled personally by them and they are prompt at responding. We have booked the house again for Jan. 2015. The boat is perfect for cruising the canals or fishing the back waters. We travel with our 2 dogs and they look forward to the trip every year just as much as we do!
This was our second year at Villa Floyd. It was very relaxing, this time we decided to rent the boat which we really enjoyed. Rich and Rebecca are the best people. If I needed answers to anything they were very quick with response. The house if fully equipped with latterly everything you need. The kitchen has everything. The first time we went we way over packed. I would sit out on the lanaii every morning drinking my coffee. I would normally be out there around 5:00 am. This time I was able to see dolphin in the canal. There was also a river otter that came up outside the lanaii and ate our bait. This is a must for vacationers I would highly recommend it and I plan on returning. We stayed the month of November we also to a yaht club for the lighting of the Christmas tree which was a first for me in Fla this time of year. It was a psalm tree it was really cool. I took some awesome pictures but I am not seeing a place I can upload them. Again thanks Rich and Rebecca for sharing your home and the beautiful memories it has made for us.
