Our 2 story cabin is on a park-like wooded lot in a community that is surrounded by Big South Fork Rec Area. White Oak has an internal trail system and direct access to the O&W trail head. Our cabin serves as the perfect 'base camp' for the adventurers for folks who just want to relax and get away from it all.
The cabin has an open floor plan with an eat-in kitchen and living room that features a gas fireplace, hardwood floor and lots of beautiful cedar and knotty pine wood work to make it feel really cozy. There is one bedroom with a queen size bed and a bath on the main floor and on the second floor there is one bedroom with a queen size bed, plus a sleeping loft with a full size futon and bath featuring a deep relaxing Jacuzzi tub. Your stay will be comfortable with central air and gas heat plus ceiling fans throughout. The fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, coffee maker, blender, mixer and all the necessary cooking equipment plus lots of extras. WiFi is available. The 46' flat screen TVs in the living room and the master bedroom offer DISH TV with 100's of channels plus a Blu-Ray player for the cozy nights or rainy days. We even have several board and movie DVDs, group games, playing cards and a few books for your pleasure. We have a covered front porch with comfy rocking chairs and a large, private back deck with table and plenty of outdoor seating. There is a gas grill and a charcoal grill for cooking out. The private back deck overlooks the lovely wooded yard that includes a great fire pit with wooden benches and plenty of firewood provided.
Also in the back yard we have a nice 2 stall barn and turnout paddock if you want to bring horses and take advantage of the hundreds of miles of amazing trails in the area. The semicircular drive allows for easy entrance and exit even for large rigs. At each end of the driveway there are RV hook ups (one has water/sewer/electric and one has water/electric). We even have a bonus camp site on the far side of the property with a separate drive with water and electric that is available for an additional charge.
You will be in the heart of all that the beautiful Cumberland Plateau can offer. Centrally located, our cabin is within a short one hour drive to Dale Hollow and a little over an hour drive Center Hill Dam and Norris Lake. There are 8 parks within minutes including Pickette State Park and Cumberland. You can also be in Pigeon Forge in a little over 1 1/2 hours. Just minutes away from the cabin you will find that quaint, historic town of Rugby is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

We are confident you will find our cabin one of the most comfortable and relaxing destinations in the area!
My name is Abby and my husband, Scott and I purchased our dream vacation get away and want to share it with you! We refreshed and refurbished this awesome cabin and I am confident that once you have stayed you will have to come back.
Scott and I were high school sweethearts and have been married for over 30 years. We have one great son, Thomas and an awesome daughter in law, Staci who have given us two grandchildren Weston and Ella!
We live in southern Ohio and are very active outside even though we have different passions. After family, of course my husband loves classic cars and Harleys and I love horses, horses, horses and my dogs. Thomas and Staci love hunting, fishing, trail riding, boating and riding ATVs. So it’s obvious why we vacation in this area.
Our goal is for you to love our place as much as we do and want to come back again and again!
Abby Fox purchased this cabin in 2014
Access to miles and miles of beautiful horse and hiking trails.
We had such a nice time! The area where the house was situated was lovely, with trees and horse farms all around. I couldn't get over seeing a lady walking her Palamino by every morning like it was a dog on a leash!
The house itself was beautiful. A Tennessee-style cabin with lovely decor and wood everywhere. Nice artwork and bedspreads and cute cowboy/horse nicknacks made me feel lucky to be there. We all took turns using the jacuzzi tub upstairs.
The kitchen was well stocked with good quality pots and pans and dishes. We have stayed in some rough VRBO's before, so it was a treat using pans that were nicer than some I have at my home.
We got a free bottle of locally produced wine, which was unexpected and generous. My kids loved using their Keurig- because we don't have one at home. There were many things in the pantry we could use, and the local grocery stores were fine and kind of fun to shop in.
I loved the front porch with the rocking chairs and nice view. We sat out there while watching our dog sniff around in the front yard.
The area the house in situated in is delightful! We enjoyed day after day of great hiking. We all couldn't get over the beauty of the nature we saw everywhere: waterfalls, rivers, creeks by incredible rocks and boulders and interesting hiking trails. Spring had sprung, so we got to see lots of green and different wildflowers. Our whole family enjoyed each and every excursion.
Besides hiking, we enjoyed learning about famous Sergeant York over in Pall Mall as well as shopping in inexpensive Mennonite stores over in Muddy Pond. My husband and I enjoyed free samples at a nearby winery. Our kids went on a 4-hour horseback ride, which they've never done before. The guy in charge of the ride was a character and very likable.
This place was just where we needed to get away to for Spring Break. It was a much better choice than Florida, which would've been more expensive, crowded, and commercial.
We made some great memories.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed to prepare meals and it was near several parks and other recreational sites.
Excellent place, has everything you need...very clean and inviting.
Thanks for such an awesome place...
Abby has a comfy cabin in a lovely equestrian neighborhood with a nearby walking trail. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch planning our day in the morning and having supper on the back porch in the evening after our day hikes at the State Park.
The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked! We prepared two meals a day in the cabin and did not lack for any cooking item. Abby has board games and a nice selection of DVD's to enjoy when the weather is not cooperating.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again!
This cabin was so clean it was amazing. Also, it was decorated very nicely. The two stall barn had a neat set up with doors out of the stalls into paddocks. Best barn and paddocks we have found in a rental. The cabin is in White Oak development with direct access to the Mill Creek Trail Head. We could ride out of the barn right onto the trail.
We went for Christmas to unplug and relax. The place was very well stocked, quiet and safe. We really enjoyed the stay.
Would recommend it to others. While the place would sleep 4-6 very comfortably, the living room is on the smaller side and really is best for 2-3 without someone needing to spread out on the floor. We had a great time and were grateful for the opportunity to rent. Thanks!
Fabulous boating and fishing in Dale Hollow is just a short drive! I can provide specific info for each potion at your request. Please note hat our cabin s in the Central Time Zone and some activities are in the Easttern Time Zone.
