Some people could be confused why Japanese in Volcano, Hawaii. But the history of Volcano area includes the Japanese, They occupied Volcano in the 30's and 40's '. They planted the tsugi pine( the large trees found in Volcano Village , camilla trees, bamboos and they grew and sold many cool climate vegetables. Much of the decor was collected here on the island reflecting their influence,
I used the Tsugi pine for my kitchen cabinets, and trim, mango wood furniture , Shoji doors, Ohia post to capturing nature at a refined level.
It is a large studio with a lush king size bed, fully equipped kitchen,( stainless steel appliances, stove, farm house sink with granite counter tops. wood burning stove( firewood provided ), flat screen cable TV, wifi, luxury bathroom with large walk in shower and soaking tub ,washer/dryer, heater ,blow dryer, iron and board and telephone.
The hot tub sits on the front porch facing the rainforest and the new Japanese garden for the perfect end to perfect day..
