About Mary Eileen O'Sullivan
We live in the Chicago suburbs with our three daughters.
Mary Eileen O'Sullivan purchased this House in 2008
Why Mary Eileen O'Sullivan chose Twin Lakes
We love this home because our children have spent magical time here together, and with their cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. We have plenty of room for everyone to gather, from morning coffee out on the pier, to picnic lunches by the water, to late night s'mores at the campfire. It's only an hour from the Chicago area, so we can get there easily.
What makes this House unique
This gracious home provides something for everyone. We love it because the kids can play or watch a movie in the spacious basement family room, while adults gather in the living room, chatting with cooks in the kitchen and enjoying the beautiful lake views. Someone is always napping in the hammock, while others are having adventures in the canoe or the paddleboat, going to the sandbar or the restaurant across the lake. My favorite thing is to sit on the glider chair on the brick patio by the water, and soak up the sun. Or I walk out to the bench on the pier, and watch the water on peaceful Lake Elizabeth.
loved the back decks and the yard
Enjoyed our stay there. House was accommodating for a large group. Outside area was great.
Great spot for a large family vacation
It was great. The house was very clean and comfortable and welcoming. There was plenty of space for all 27 of us, ages 20 months up to 67 years. The kids and grandkids loved the water at the lake. We really appreciated all the lifejackets that were available to use. Having use of the kayak, paddle boat, canoe, and water boards also helped to make it a very enjoyable and fun vacation for our whole family. Oh, and the tire swing was a big hit with the grand kids. We made lots of precious memories here!
I definitely recommend renting this home. The space was clean and had plenty of room for a large group. The yard was incredibly spacious and the deck was great!
Great place for a big family gathering.
Our vacation here this past summer was wonderful! We have a very large family with many little kids and the large grassy area and own pier made for a perfect space for our crew. The house was very clean and had tons of room for our big family. The kids alos really enjoyed all the fun water toys the owners allowed us to use. I definitely recommend this home for fun family vacation.
Family Celebration Weekend
We gathered 21 family members (ranging from 70 to 1) for a weekend celebration. The house allowed us to spread out. It was very clean and well stocked. Lots of "toys" to keep everyone active and busy. Well stocked kitchen and nice gas grill. Plenty of seating for meals and beds to sleep in. Beautiful, large yard. Thanks for opening your home to us!
Thanks so much for the great review. I think the one star on the review may have been unintentional, because you have written very positive things. But we appreciate the review!
Wonderful lake house for Family Reunion
We wanted to get the whole family together so we looked for a large house that would have enough activities for 3 generations. Bingo! Not only did everyone make it, but everyone had a great time catching up with cousins, sibs, ect., that they rarely see. We spent most of the time in the water, just hanging out at the pier or the sand bar. We had Christmas in July, Easter in July, and a new baby announcement. We even celebrated an anniversary by having live music one afternoon. We talked about our parents looking down at us and being happy to see everyone get along and having so much fun together. What a great use of the leftover estate money.
Thanks Mom & Dad
