About the property

3 Bdrms 2.5 Bath Lake Front Views Sleeps 10 Seneca

Welcome to THE VIEW FROM HERE. Lake Keowee offers 18,500 acres of crystal clear water and more than 300 miles of shoreline. It was voted one of the cleanest lakes in the Southeast. The Blue Ridge Mountains serve as the backdrop to the area and is surrounded by acres of protected land with 6 state parks nearby. Water sports abound. If you enjoy boating, jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, water skiing or fishing - Lake Keowee offers it all.

Bring your boat or just lay out on our large covered dock. A jet ski dock is also available to tie up your jet ski. Our quiet and secluded location on the lake is ideal for families to enjoy our surroundings. The water depth is very deep and is between 15 - 20 feet. There is a natural sandy beach that is ideal for the younger children. We also offer a two person kayak and a kids kayak for use. Another great way to explore the lake and even get in a little fishing.... The patio and firepit area are a great place to watch the boats go by any time of day. The firepit is a beautiful resting spot for evening fires and smores.

The 2600 square foot lake front home has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. It sleeps 10 people comfortably. The main living area is a large and open space with cathedral ceilings. The large kitchen is very well equipped. We offer a large pantry and a breakfast bar area as well as a large dining area with a table that seats 10. The family room is warm and comfortable and has a large stone fireplace. The master bedroom is very large and has a King bed and plenty of closet space. It has a large picture window that overlooks the beautiful lake. A great way to start each day !! The second bedroom has a queen bed and plenty of closet space. The main living floor also has one full bathroom and a half bath. The front load washer and dryer is also located on this level. Off the family room is the deck which has outdoor seating and a dining table to enjoy anything from a cup a coffee in the morning to dinner after a busy day on the lake. Stairs lead down from the deck to the gently sloping cement walkway to the lake.

Downstairs offers another family room perfect for the kids. Lots of seating and a 42' tv. The bedroom has two twin beds and two large closets. The built in twin bunkbeds are a great place for the kids to hang out, watch tv, play games or even read. There is also another full bath with stand up shower. There is a sliding glass door that leads out to another deck which lines the entire back of the house. Another great place to sit and relax and read a book or just watch the boats go by. A hanging swing is the perfect place to relax and enjoy family and the beautiful view of Lake Keowee. Attached to the back deck area is the garage. This area contains a ping pong table and air hockey table and regulation darts to entertain everyone when they are not enjoying the lake.

Our home offers Direct TV and wifi internet. There is a gas grill located on the top deck, just off the kitchen. We have ample parking in our driveway and front area.

Our home is 12 miles to Clemson and a 15 minute boat ride to the Tiki Hut and the Marina. There are many wonderful restaurants near by and several grocery stores.

This is a family vacation home. We have a maximum of 10 people which includes babies and children. We do not allow any large groups, no high school or college students and no parties. Many families who live on our street are not 'on vacation', and we hope you can respect our neighborhood.

About Megan Armstrong

We live in Mount Pleasant, SC, a beautiful suburb of Charleston. We have two boys ages 10 and 12 who keep us very busy. Between school work and soccer we are always on the go!! One reason we love Lake Keowee so much. Gives us all a chance to unwind!

Megan Armstrong purchased this house in 2014

Why Megan Armstrong chose Seneca

We fell in love with the area a couple of years ago. We had been bringing our boys to Clemson football games when our schedule allowed. One Memorial Day we decided to rent a home on Lake Keowee and we fell in love with the beautiful lake and all it had to offer. We met with a realtor that same weekend and the rest is history!!

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with our home the minute we walked in. The views it offers of the lake and the natural beauty of the surroundings allowed us to look no further. The house is warm and homey and allows us to spend a lot of quality time with friends and family.

Beautiful place to gather for the holidays

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed spending our Thanksgiving holiday at this beautiful house on Lake Keowee. The Armstrongs were extremely courteous and helpful when preparing for our stay. Our extended family drove from multiple states and directions so this was a perfect meeting spot for us all. The house was very clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, and well maintained. It had everything we needed for our stay, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals in addition to preparing a full Thanksgiving meal for nine. The garage rec space kept our kids happy and active with ping-pong and air hockey tournaments, and they absolutely loved the bunk space in the basement for hanging out. The peaceful lakeside setting provided much enjoyment and relaxation on the dock and porches for both adults and children. Though November, the kids were able to enjoy the beach area, kayaking, and fishing. At night the fire pit was great for socializing, stargazing, and making smores with cousins. The house provided a great arrangement for watching Auburn/Alabama, Georgia Tech/UGA, and Clemson/SC the final evening of our stay. We will definitely put this one at the top of our list for another visit, and highly recommend it to others. Thank you to the Armstrongs for sharing their beautiful property and helping us create some wonderful family memories.

Wish we had stayed another night to enjoy the lake and amenities of the house! Well kept condition, clean and had ample space to hang out. Loved the upper and lower porches. We will be back in the future for sure!

Beautiful home with all the amenities!!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay! The home was beautifully decorated and just as the pictures showed! My 4 kids loved the "Kid Cave" as they named it with the bunk beds and their own TV and lounging area! The gentle sloping walk down to the lake and fire pit area was easy and the dock area was roomy for chairs to relax and watch the kids! The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare and cook meals since we only ate out once! They even had a crock pot stocked in the kitchen! Each afternoon, there was usually the normal summer thunderstorm but our kids still had plenty to do with the ping pong and air hockey table!! The neighbors were even extremely friendly as one afternoon the power went out due to a thunderstorm and I walked over to ask the neighbors if they had reported it and they were very helpful, even giving us some candles, as it was getting dark soon!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next year!!

Perfect weekend at Clemson!

  • 5 of 5

We recently sent our youngest child off to college at Clemson University... and we live in Indiana! We came down for a visit and a fun football weekend and what a PERFECT HOUSE we found! I have never stayed in a VRBO that was as nicely equipped and stocked with everything we might need. The house was CLEAN and fresh... beautifully decorated... a PERFECT view of a beautiful lake... comfortable in every way. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and have no idea how there were NO mosquitoes?! We ate breakfast out on the deck in the peaceful morning when the lake was as smooth as glass. The Armstrongs were wonderful and so easy to work with. We are excited to find this house and hope to stay here for future visits to see our daughter! (She also loved having a night away from the dorm and a home cooked meal!) THANK YOU Armstrongs for a wonderful weekend!
