Family Montana Trip 2019
Our experience at this property was excellent and beyond expectations! Jim treated us pretty much like family and made sure we had what we needed, and like we were at home. The house was perfect for our family and the surroundings made it even better. We would highly recommend this property and will stay here in the future!
Quiet, country farmhouse near Whitefish
This house is perfect for a small family or group of friends to use as a home-base for exploring around the Whitefish/Glacier/Flathead area. It is about 10 minutes from downtown Whitefish. Jim, the host, was very kind to everyone in our family and was readily available for anything we might have needed. The house is a bit older, but very well kept and clean. It was a charming place to stay, surrounded by woods, with lots of deer and chipmunks to watch. Also, the property has access to a river within walking distance. We had a lovely time!
Had a great time.
Everything about the property exceeded my expectations. The house was clean and well furnished. Additionally, the owner, Jim is very easy to work with.
Long weekend getaway
We had an incredible experience booking this property and the communication with Jim, the owner couldn't have been better. The check in process was simple and exactly as we had been told. No surprises. The property was even better than the pictures and far exceeded our expectations. Jim is an incredible host and made us feel very, very welcome. He even took time out of his schedule to drive us up the river and drop us off with his kayaks so we could do a trip down the river back to his place. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We thought at first that it was a bit out of the way but it is a short drive to everything and we really enjoyed going back there to relax after a day exploring the area. The place is well stocked, with very comfortable beds and Jim welcomed us with a lot of very nice extras including wine, fruit and water. There is so much to see and do in the area that we were only able to touch on a few of the highlights. There is something for everyone. We are hoping to make it an annual event and Jims place will be our first option for a place to stay. Thanks Jim,for your hospitality and it was a pleasure to meet you. We will be back.
Our active family of four truly enjoyed our stay on this Montana property which is located outside the beautiful little town of Whitefish. The farmhouse/cabin was perfect for us. Our teen boys really enjoyed exploring the 20 acre property which has grasses, wild flowers, apple trees, and a river where one may see eagles and osprey flying. They liked interacting with owner Jim who had many stories to share and let them utilize his outdoor tools and/or farm equipment. The house itself is definitely the most well equipped property that we have rented from VRBO. There were many fresh towels, toilet tissue, soaps and plenty of hot water! There was also sunscreen and bug spray made available to us. The kitchen had lots and lots of condiments, spices, and foods that JIm told us we were welcome to use. In addition, he left us some wines, beers, and local coffees to sample! Jim is a thoughtful host who really tries to make his guests comfortable. As others mentioned in their reviews, Jim took our family up the river so that we could kayak back to his property. We had a wonderful stay in this area and wish that it could have been longer than a week.
Great time in Whitefish & at Glazier Park
Older home but very comfortable, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Jim couldn’t have been any nicer or more helpful. He went above and beyond anything you would expect. Even picked us up at the train station at 9:30 PM in the evening. House is convenient to Whitefish (right on HWY 93 just North of Whitefish) and Glazier National Park and on a very scenic 22 acres. We highly recommend this rental and will stay there again if we return to visit Whitefish and Glazier National Park.
