About the Property
Townhouse, 2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4-5)
This lovely two level Townhouse is on Beckwith Avenue off First Street on a quiet residential cul-de-sac across from Gibson's Ridge and the nordic ski trails.
Stash your skis, jackets and boots in the first level spacious mud room. Dream the night away in one of the two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed with topper, a down comforter, two night tables with bedside lamps, a bookcase, storage baskets and two large closets. The second bedroom has a full-sized bed with a twin bunk over, a large closet, built-in shelving, desk and chair. Soak in the tub of the full bath amply supplied with plush towels which is also conveniently outfitted with a washer/dryer.
The second level features a spacious, sunny open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and soaring windows with lovely views of Gibson's Ridge. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with an entertainment bar or eat at the table, a dining/living area with hand hewn timbers and a half bath. Sip a glass of wine while enjoying the beautiful views of Gibson's Ridge and Red Lady Mountain on the sunny deck. Relax in front of a flat screen TV with Direct TV and over 150 channels to choose from, a DVD player and high speed internet connection.
This open space lends itself to warm, friendly gatherings of family and friends and is perfect for a family of five or two couples. Ideally located for children due to the lack of thru traffic with a patio in the front yard. Off-street parking for one car.
The San Moritz Guest House is not only within walking distance to excellent restaurants, art galleries, shops and a lively nightlife, but also steps away from the Nordic Center with miles of cross country ski trails, the Big Mine Ice Arena for ice skating, the town's tubing/sledding hill, the Skate Park, hiking/biking trails, the Town Park and beautiful wildflower meadows.

About the owner: Crested Butte has been our second home for the last twenty-five years as we followed our son, Michael to this paradise from our home in New York. Enjoying the outdoor lifestyle, hiking, skiing, biking, we put down roots in this friendly town along with Michael as he married, had a family and opened his business, Michael Weil Custom Homes. Following in her brother's footsteps, our daughter Rebecca moved to Crested Butte ten years ago, married and opened her photography studio, Third Eye Photography. In 2016 we will celebrate our anniversary--fifty years of a loving partnership and friendship. We hope our guests enjoy this unique and wonderful place as much as we have. Enjoy…Stan and Janet
Why the Owner Chose Crested Butte, CO, USA:
We absolutely love the west end location of the San Moritz Guest House only two short blocks from downtown Crested Butte. Having the convenience of walking to the fabulous restaurants, wonderful art galleries, boutiques, the town park and the Post Office is the exact opposite experience from our home in New York where we live deep in the woods miles from town. Hanging out at the coffee shop, grabbing a slice of pizza, walking to the school to see our grandchildren play soccer or our children play softball, hiking the Woods Walk or biking the Lower Loop is our dream life. All of this only steps away from our Beckwith townhouse on a quiet street. The best of both worlds--a heartbeat away from the pulse of the town but the quiet of a residential cul de sac.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
The benefits of this ideally located San Moritz Guest House are many: two blocks from vibrant Elk Avenue in the sought after west end of town and the free bus to the mountain; only steps away from the Nordic Center with its miles of cross country ski trails, the Big Mine Ice Arena, the tubing/sledding hill, the Skate Park, the Town Park, the Center for the Arts; a short walk to the Woods Walk and the Lower Loop with its miles of hiking/biking trails and all of the wonderful restaurants, shops, art galleries and museums available only minutes away.
