Relaxing and peaceful

  • 4 of 5

We arrived much later than expected after a very long journey so were relieved/pleased when we arrived at the house. We found it to be clean and comfortable. Michele had kindly waited for us to arrive and was helpful and friendly.

There are some lovely beaches in the local area, our favourite is at Kerdalle, which is usually not very busy. Quimper is an interesting town, the indoor market is great for fish, meat etc. We also liked the fact that the house is within walking distance of the town centre but is in a very quiet road. An enjoyable holiday!

Extremely rude property owner!

  • 1 of 5

Whilst Quimper is a lovely little town and the surrounding towns just as picturesque, the owner of the property did not treat us well.

On the day of departure, she examined every aspect of the house and got increasingly angry because of the little stains she found on cushions, sheets etc. If you plan to rent your house to a family with 2 young kids then you must expect a bit of wear and tear. I do not check my 5 and 7 year olds fingers every minute just in case they have stains on them. She came in and angrily and aggresively through threw the cushions around. She angrily told us off for her fridge malfunctioning. She told us off because we used 3 bedrooms. We paid for the entire house not just 2 bedrooms. She was unprofessional, rude and very unkind.

She disregarded a health and safety concern we reported a few days in to the holiday. One of her sockets broke off the wall. There were wires hanging off. One was the live brown wire. She examined it and promised that she would get her husband to fix it. She didn't. This was very dangerous for our 2 young children.

She practically kicked us out of the house. If I could give zero stars I would. Her husband was lovely though.

Great property- great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great holiday here in Quimper. The house is perfect, so too is the owner Michele who is very helpful. There is everything you could possibly need in a holiday home. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in Brittany. Anyone going to stay here is in for a real treat.

Very nice holiday home in a good location

  • 4 of 5

We chose this house because it was in a central location in southern Finistere and we could make easy trips to Concarneau, Pont-Aven, Benodet, Douarnenez, Pointe du Raz and the Crozon Peninsular. Only problem is getting in and out of Quimper as the signs are terrible. Once you've got used to that you'll be OK. The house has absolutely everything you need and there is a nice feel to it. It also has good views over the river valley. Michele and her husband were very helpful and explained everything about the house and left tourist information about the region. Quimper itself is a fairly nice 20 minute walk from the house but that does include 1 long set of steps- not a problem if you're reasonably fit. And it's a very unique centre full of traditional Breton buildings and well worth a visit. If you like crepes, you'll love Quimper!!

If you want a house in this location look no further but bring your satnav!

A Wonderful Home and Great Hosts

  • 5 of 5

This is an excellent home and we were very comfortable there. Michele and her husband were very welcoming and greeted us with a tour of the house explaining how the appliances worked. It is immaculately clean and has everything that you would need while you're there. It's located in a residential area but it's very easy to get to the center of town or explore the coast. Michele has maps and guidebooks at the house, and she is available to answer questions if you need her.

We highly recommend this home.

Beautiful and clean home in a great location

  • 4 of 5

This home was just as charming and convenient as advertised. We are a family of 5 with 2 teenagers and 1 pre-teen and we enjoyed the spacious accommodations.

The home is a short walk from the old center of Quimper and we spent a couple of happy afternoons strolling around, shopping and relaxing in cafes.

Michele was very helpful and gave us some great suggestions for local sites to see. We caught a fun Breton festival in Pont Aven and had a few lovely beach days at Benodet, and browsed around an antiques fair in Locronan. All were a short drive from this location in Quimper.
