About Moira McIntyre
I've been in the Blue Mountain area for over 20 years enjoying the lifestyle. So many things to do here. Skiing, snowshoeing in the winter and hiking, biking, water sports in the summer. I've raised my family here and am now retired. Sharing my home with like minded people who enjoy traveling and seeing what our world has to offer works for me!
Moira McIntyre purchased this Bungalow in 2005
Why Moira McIntyre chose Collingwood
My home was purchased in 2005 and I'm not ready to sell it and move on yet, so I'm doing the next best thing - sharing it with travelers like myself who would rather be in a home than a hotel. This area is wonderful and has so many benefits- it's close to Blue Mountain so skiing/boarding and snow shoeing in the winter. In Fall and Spring there are so many different places to hike an bike to - come and enjoy a week or weekend in the area. Follow the Apple Pie Trail which will take you from the country side close to Meaford down into the quaint town of Creemore. We have many craft breweries springing up around the area and also several cider and winerys. You can have a taste with or without food and it's all so lovely - interesting folks every where you turn. This is a Super Destination. Take a ride on the "Beer Bus or book a night out with a Harbour Cruise. Go golfing, or just sit on the deck and enjoy!
What makes this Bungalow unique
In the country but close to great amenities like the Village and Blue Mountain. You can visit the longest fresh water beach in Canada by driving less than 20 minutes. We have wonderful trails and bike paths just out the door and down the street. Georgian Bay is less than 2 minutes away. Small towns like Collingwood and Thornbury . Great new wineries which will give you samples and tasting offerings. Just so much to see and do - spend a week or two enjoying the wineries, beaches, local markets, bike up to Thornbury, watch the fish ladder in the spring, eat apples, apple pie, apple tarts, apple cake.... take a ride on the Cheecheeman ferry from Torbermory to Little Current, sail back home to the shores of Georgian Bay. Live life large.

Amazing couples weekend away!
Every year we have a couples weekend in Blue Mountain and usually stay in the village, but thought we would try a house rental instead. We had a lovely time! The house has everything you need - comfortable beds, kitchen stocked with dishes, and a huge basement rec room with a pool table. We liked that we were able to hook up our phones to the sound bar downstairs and play our own music.
It’s a super quick drive to the village, and if you ski/snowboard it’s even closer to the south chair lift parking area.
The owners are very accommodating and have a binder with information on local attractions (I thought that was a nice touch).
The house would definitely be on my list of houses to rent in the area for future trips!
Glad your stay in our home was all you wanted it to be. We'd have you back anytime!
Clean, bright and fun place to stay!
Great for families or retired persons. Clean home with amenities close by. Skiing was awesome at Blue Mountain, only 5 minutes away by car. Only criticism would be to update the kitchen to include 10 or 12 dishes (this would elminate the need to run the dishwasher as often therefore helping your septic system :-) ), some better kitchen tools and more casserole dishes with lids. A more modern coffee maker would be a great purchase too. Moira was wonderful to deal with and very responsive. My kids LOVED the basement and pool table. We had family matches every night. Thanks for helping us have a great family vacation.
Wonderful home close to the slopes
Moira was a fantastic host. Communication was clear and FAST. She was very considerate and concerned about our special needs and went above and beyond to fulfill them. Beds and sheets were extremely comfortable. Plenty of space for the family to spread out and have some alone time if needed with options to keep themselves entertained. Overall a place that is perfect year round.
Wonderful getaway near Blue Mountain Village !
My husband and I stayed here for the weekend and absolutely enjoyed our visit. The house was beautifully decorated, and in the perfect location - close to Collingwood and Blue Mountain Village ! The house was clean, bed was comfortable, kitchen had all the amenities we needed to cook a beautiful breakfast both mornings. There are lots of restaurants and shops near by, and hiking/biking trails to enjoy. I would recommend this house to my friends, and we will for sure come back for another mini vacation soon ! Thanks again to our host Moira, you were a pleasure to meet !
Thanks for the lovely review Jackie- we enjoyed hosting you and Ryan and hope that you come back often. Moira
great house in good location
This house has everything one could need for a vacation stay in the blue mountains. We particularly enjoyed being able to walk to the scandanavian baths approx. 15 minute by foot.We have grand children in the area that visited and were able to have pool championships with their grandfather.Pool table downstairs. The large media room also was very enjoyable. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing. Not much traffic on streets.Village is within minutes as well as Collingwood. We like hiking and this house is in the middle of many places that provide great views of area. For skiers you couldn,t have a better place to stay.House has attached garage to leave gear in and large mud room with lots of closet space for all those extra cloths.Everything you need is in this house whether you want to cook or go out to eat. Many restaurants close by.Everything worked and is in good shape. This house provided us a hassle free vacation. We will come back. Thanks Moira-Ron
Thanks so much Ron and Gaylene - you were a pleasure to host - do get in touch and come back on your next trip to the Collingwood area. Glad you enjoyed the pool table and theatre room downstairs and your vacation with family was enjoyed. Moira
