Newly Renovated 1 Bedroom Basement Suite With Kitchen

Bedrooms 1
Space 600 sq. ft.
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 1 - 2 nights

About the property

1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 4

Newly renovated basement suite with separate entrance, private bedroom and bathroom. There's a pull-out couch in living room. The kitchen is fully stocked to make a full meal. We provide cereal, oatmeal, tea, coffee and fruit. Easy access to subway.

The space is completely separate from us, although we are always happy to have visitors.

You have your own entrance with keypad access.

Linens and towels are included. When possible, we like to hang dry the laundry outdoors for the lovely spring freshness.

If you need to do laundry, there is a laundromat half a block away. We can provide you with detergent and a laundry basket.

Families are welcome. If you need to borrow toys, high chairs, pack and play, or anything like that, just let us know!

Please note that this is a basement suite. The floors are tiled and are cool underfoot, which make it a great retreat from the heat of summer. In winter, we can lend you slippers if you need. Also, we do store some kids items, high chairs, linens, and other supplies out of sight in a closet and in an unused stairwell.

Also please note that the furnace is across from the kitchen. It can be a bit noisy at times for anyone sleeping in the living room. This is not ideal for light sleepers.

Please also note that VRBO does not allow us to sync our true availability calendar, so the available dates you see on VRBO may not be current. Please message us if you want to confirm if certain dates are available. Apologies in advance if the dates you are looking for are unavailable.

We hope to see you soon!

There is free WiFi on site.

A TV is available with local channels.

Feel free to knock on our door to say hello or if you need anything.

We love this neighborhood for the amount of things to see and do within walking distance. We're one block away from a great coffee shop, and it's only a little further to highly rated restaurants like Actinolite and Universal Grill. Wonderful Korean, Ethiopian, East African, Indian, Italian, Mexican, and Vegan restaurants are all close by.

Right across the street, we face an elementary school playground and a drop-in play centre (M-Th) which is great for young kids. Christie Pits, an additional very large park with outdoor summertime swimming pool is a short walk away.

We have 3 grocery stores within 5 - 10 minutes walk. One is open 24 hours.

Cozy and Charming Apartment

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at this apartment, visiting family for the Christmas Holiday. This is a perfect place for a couple. It is neat and clean, well-equipped in the kitchen and bath, and warm and comfortable despite the really cold weather outside this year. Highly recommended and an excellent value for what you get.

quite convenient and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

This place is good for family vacation, for the vicinity is quite safe and peaceful where a school and a park are located. It just takes 5 minutes to the nearest subway station, and about 3 minutes to the nearest marketplace. The owners are very kind, and their kids are so cute, though they sometimes play around upstairs, which could be bothersome for those who are keen. Furniture and all kinds of appliances are neatly arranged. Price is quite reasonable I think.

Toronto Canada Day

  • 4 of 5

We came to Toronto for Canada Day, Jays games and see a musical. Great location close to the subway to get downtown and harbour front. Very clean with everything you might need. Very nice to have a few items supplied for breakfast and a lovely bottle of homemade wine! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Fringe Festival 2017

  • 4 of 5

Stayed at this location for 4 nights while in town to take in the Fringe Festival. We found it very clean and comfortable. At the last minute our mother needed a place to stay for the night, Laura was very accommodating. Contra Coffee shop has excellent coffee, a short walk away. Fresh Food market is a couple blocks away, quick and easy location to get some food. We walked everywhere, close proximity to Christie Pitt Park which is surprisingly busy park at 11pm, if you enjoy being out at night, this is a great location. Bloor Street has great shops, easy walking distance from the location.

Great apartment...was perfect for our stay

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Laura's apartment when in Toronto to look at universities with our daughter. Was a perfect fit for the three of us. Really appreciated all of the homey touches. Even was a first aid kit, which I used after getting a blister on my foot. Nice bedding and towels, we were very comfortable. Really appreciated the tips that Laura gave us about subway tickets and places to visit. There were maps and lots of great information in the apartment about places to go and restaurants, etc. Also appreciated having coffee, tea, and breakfast items. Thanks for everything! Would definitely stay again when visiting Toronto!
