About the property

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 2 Unit, Located In Middle Of Eureka

This 1 bedroom apartment is located in a 4-plex. The living room has great natural light and looks out to the front of the building. In the living room you will find comfortable club chairs and a couch for viewing TV or a desk to work on if this is a business trip. The bedroom has a queen sized bed. The bathroom has a tub shower. The rental has a full kitchen including a full size range, microwave and refrigerator. The building has a co-op washer/dryer for laundry needs. The overall size of the apartment is 1100 square feet making it larger then some homes for rent on VRBO. Included in the unit are WiFi and cable television.

I have owned this building for 18 years and remodeled all the units, 2 of my apartments are VRBO's and my 2 other tenants are all long term and have been living at the property for years.

Eureka is a city of almost 30,000 located on the north pacific coast of California. We have an active arts community with a monthly Arts Alive Night on the first Saturday of each month in Old Town, there are also many local art galleries for viewing or purchasing art. Humboldt State University has its own gallery in Old Town on First Street with student and faculty exhibits and out of the area artist shows. There is a wide variety of restaurants to be found in Eureka and we would be happy to give you some ideas of how to choose your meals out. In Henderson Center there is a great local bakery for morning pastries and coffee drinks. Humboldt County has a bounty of outdoor activities to be enjoyed at our local beaches and forest areas.

Eureka is a 4 hour and 45 minute drive north of San Francisco and 120 miles west of Redding. Whether you want to escape the urban population of the Bay Area or the heat of Redding, Eureka is a great choice.

Lovely, private apartment

  • 4 of 5

I had a wonderful stay here while house hunting. After a long day of viewing properties, this apartment was a quiet place to rest. It is simply and tastefully decorated. The original hardwood floors are amazing! It was very clean. It is downstairs but I only heard footsteps above on one occasion. I am returning again soon!

proud parent

It is a very spacious, pleasant apartment even better than it appears in the photographs. We were in town for my son's graduation, and this was the perfect location for visiting him and for getting around town.

Spacious and quality apartment!

  • 4 of 5

This apartment has plenty of space, great location in the city, and a nice kitchen for cooking to avoid eating out.

Like noted before, you can hear footsteps above. We would recommend pillows if you like thicker ones, there is a light that shines into the bedroom window from outside so bring a eye mask, and just know that the space between the toilet and bath tub is small (especially for my 6'6" husband). Enjoyed our stay in this spacious apartment!

Business/Vacation trip made easy!

  • 4 of 5

I was having a hard time booking reservations as I wanted to bring my dog. The owner of this location promptly responded to my email within hours. The place has plenty of room to spread out and a kitchen to throw together simple breakfasts, etc. Location was great for my businees needs, and easy to do a day trip to Crescent City, Aracata, etc. for redwood/beach activities. You can hear footsteps of the neighbor above, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Very Comfortable

  • 4 of 5

I love this place. I travel to Eureka for 5 days a month and it's great to stay in a place that feels more like home rather than a hotel. The place has a little traffice noice from 5pm to 7pm due to commute traffic but nothing too bad. It's a great place to walk, there are beautiful victorian homes all around the area.
