Located next to one of Savannah's famous Squares, Whitefield Square, which is also known as the Gazebo Square, this beautiful row house in Historic Downtown Savannah was built in 1855. Meticulously restored and renovated, this garden apartment offers the comforts of soft beds, a fully stocked kitchen, and Wi-Fi, as well as the historic beauty of original hardwood floors and two decorative fireplaces (originally for cooking).
Just a short walk away from Forsyth Park, City Market, River Street, and Broughton Street, you won't need your car to get to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Wander out the front door to Whitefield Square, so beautiful that it's the most popular square for weddings, or relax in the spacious courtyard.
A private, gated entrance leads to front door of the Garden Apartment. There are two bedrooms-one with a Queen bed and one with an adult size day bed/trundle-one bathroom with a shower and laundry facilities, a living room, and a kitchen with dining area.
The apartment is ground level and easily accessible - no stairs.
Non-destructive pets welcome.
The Garden Oasis is a tranquil green space with herringbone brick patio, landscape lighting, a handmade garden swing and bubbling fountain. An assortment of chairs for lounging and two grills for guest use.
We relocated to Savannah from Key West, FL in the late 90s. We were attracted to the physical beauty and the quirkiness of Savannah. After living in Savannah for 17 years, we're finally making our dream of living Downtown a reality. We are pleased to share this unique historic property with guests. Downtown Savannah is world famous for its stunning architecture, moss-draped live oaks, and quaint old world charm. Savannah's famous Squares offer a unique refuge in the midst of a centuries-old urban setting. We are located next to one of Savannah's favorite and most photogenic Square-Whitefield Square. It is often called the Gazebo Square because of the lovely central gazebo that hosts weddings and celebrations throughout the year. The Garden Apartment and Oasis is conveniently located close to all the major attractions of this easily walkable city. Park your car and take in Savannah on foot.
Super convenient Downtown location. Un-metered free parking just one block in any direction. Charming, tranquil interior courtyard with private entrance to this unit. Fully equipped rental with historic details and quality finishes. This is a ground level rental -- no stairs and easy access.
This is a great place to stay - quaint and well-decorated in a convenient but quiet area of downtown Savannah. I almost hate to share this secret because we will definitely want to stay again! It was clean, comfortable and so cute with a great little patio area. The owner was accommodating and thoughtful - he even texted to warn us about a possible traffic ticket since we were parked in a street-sweeping zone on the wrong night. It was an easy fix to just move the car to the other side of the street.
We only had three days for this quick trip but you could be very comfortable here for a longer stay. There was a small kitchen which was very well stocked and a dining area for four. The den furniture was very comfortable with nice down pillows and plenty of cozy throws in the television/sitting area. The two bedrooms were equally nice, even though we only used one. The bath was very modern for an older home - it had been excellently renovated! The only noise we heard inside was some footsteps upstairs when our television show got quiet - no real traffic noise at all. It is on a quiet street with friendly neighbors but is still pretty close to all the best shops and restaurants. We plan to stay again the next time we are in Savannah! I stayed here while working on two jobs in Savannah. They were on opposite sides of the city and this was a great location to get around the town. Not to mention the convince of being downtown to great food. I'm also a runner, so I was able to go out and run around the beautiful town then come back to a relaxing ground level apartment. It is very peaceful and the photos don't do it justice. I really enjoyed the seclusion and atmosphere of it.
We had a great weekend getaway and enjoyed our stay! Mark was helpful and responsive.
This well appointed, clean downtown apartment was a great place to stay. Having breakfast in the lovely garden each morning was a perfect place to plan the days events and to return to relax at days end. Within easy walking distance of tours and tourist activities, the quiet, friendly neighborhood gave us the sense of what it would be like to live in Savannah. I would recommend this apartment in a minute!
We really enjoyed our stay. With dogs you don't always get the best choices at A reasonable price. Location was great and the place we stayed was very nice. We will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful stay at the garden apartment. The location is within walking distance of most of historic Savannah (including a grocery store). The apartment itself was tastefully decorated and kept with the historic theme. Beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the courtyard area. The owner was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with whenever we had a question or concern. Highly recommend. Zero complaints. Would stay again in a heart beat.
