(Text automatically translated) As Charles Baudelaire, Camille Claudel, Blum, Georges Pompidou, Marie Curie, who, in their time, and like other contemporary figures have chosen to live on the Ile Saint-Louis, enjoy the privilege of staying in a quiet apartment with a design / exquisite contemporary boutique hotel located in a 17th century building decor. The entrance to the building is located close to Notre Dame, wharf Anjou. Upon request and free of charge upon arrival, all your luggage will be mounted to the apartment and will be down when you leave. The apartment is rented with all the little camp required for a pleasant stay (coffee, tea, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, small grocery store, tissues, toilet paper, detergent, towels, cleaning products, .. ..) The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary appliances for cooking. Linens (sheets, towels, tea towels, etc ...) is changed every week if you stay several weeks. Complete cleaning, end of stay is made by us. Smoking not allowed. No lift. The room is equipped with a 160 cm wide double bed.
The apartment was clean, well stocked and had a good layout. It is on the 4th floor so you will have typical European steep steps. Michel met us on time and even had our bags porter up to the room, which was great after getting off an overnight flight. I don't speak French but we figured everything out fine. The location is great! I would recommend this apartment.
We have stayed at other Paris VRBOs before. This apartment is wonderful for its location, and is a good size for a couple in particular. The separate kitchen is good sized and well equipped. The bathroom is great, with a combination washer/dryer which came in handy. The owner is a wonderful, professional man (architect). He met us at the apartment and showed us everything, and was always available for any issue or problem. In fact, we had a problem late on a Sunday afternoon, and he was reachable and went the extra mile to help us out, and never made us felt like we were inconveniencing him. He can understand a lot of English, but if you speak any French at all, there will be no communication issues. We would return to this apartment in an instant. The only issues to be aware of us that it's up four floors without an elevator, and that there is no separate sink in the WC, but only in the shared bathroom. But minor issues; everything else was outstanding, and for the location, you just can't beat it. Can walk in any direction and reach so much of what one would want to see and do in Paris. Very safe neighborhood, and quiet too. It's just around the corner from good restaurants (Fous de L'Ile) and Bertillon Ice Cream/Tea Salon (don't miss the French Toast with grilled pineapple and salted caramel ice cream... it alone is worth the trip to Paris).
Michel, the apartment was great everything we wanted. wonderful location, clean & easy to shop for our every day needs.
We thank you.
We stayed here nearly a week in our trip through Europe. The home is very comfortable, clean, and my family loved the decor. Unfortunately as a previous guest stated that during our stay the home was having some outside repairs done and it was wrapped in scaffolding and plastic. This is by no means the owner's fault, and it shows the building is well maintained. When we were in Paris it rained every day, and it felt good to come back home to this apartment, and warm up and get comfortable. We are already discussing when our next trip to Paris will be and when we come, I hope that we can stay here again. We loved walking by Notre Dame everyday.
My daughter & I throughly enjoyed our stay in Michel's clean, well decorated & stocked apartment on Ile St. Louis. The apartment is on the 4th floor. Yes, the stairs are steep & narrow. Typical of Europe. If anything the apartment is nicer in person than in the photos & it is clear that lots of thought has been put into including everything needed for a nice stay.
The entrance opens to a sitting room with pullout couch, chair, several tables & ottomans, TV, etc. A separate kitchen with table for four is well stocked with what appears to be everything for meal prep including some basics such as coffee & tea. We did not cook but made coffee once;). A small room holding a toilet is located off the sitting room & close to the bedroom. The pretty bdrm has a very comfortable bed for two, wardrobes, chair, night stands. Thru this bedroom you access the bathroom with sink, tub/shower and combo washer dryer.
The apartment is fairly quiet. No street noise but periodic noise from other residents. Nothing unusual. The location felt very safe, the lobby clean, secure & well lit.
Meeting the owner, Michel was a pleasure. He spent time making sure we understood the amenities of the apartment, provided several numbers to reach him while in Paris & even helped in figuring out a Metro route to the airport.
I only have two issues. I had hoped to have the address & arrival instructions before I left the States (a wk before our Paris visit) to complete my itinerary for family & a sense of security that I had everything nailed down before uncertain internet access. It may have been due to a language barrier or perhaps Michel had been out of town, etc. I don't know. We received the address etc after paying in full several days before our stay even though payment was not required until arrival.
The second issue was totally out of the owners control. The building was encased in scaffolding for some repairs to the facade. In the end, other than obstructing any view from the windows, it did not impact us as we were out the door early & for most of the day. Work seemed to start after 8:30 & ended by 5pm. It did mean blinds were pulled & all windows closed & locked during the day but the apartment quickly cooled in the evening at the end of May.
I would happily rebook a stay in this apartment even with the scaffolding in place. Clean, safe, quiet, great location, great value, caring owner.
This apartment is in a perfect central location for visiting Paris. It's just a few minutes away from the Pont Marie metro line, and an easy walk to Notre Dame cathedral, the Marais, and the Latin Quarter. The neighborhood itself is quiet and peaceful, and you can step out the front door and stroll along the Seine. The apartment is well decorated and quite spacious; the photos don't do it justice. The kitchen is great for preparing simple meals, and well stocked with cookware and tools. We had a fantastic time and would stay there again. Merci beaucoup Michel et Florence!
