Enter San Juan Paradise @ 7900 feet. You'll be enticed to stay outside, as your jaw drops at the panoramic views. Upon entering you will discover that views are endless in this upscale artistically custom decorated home with slate floors, a cozy fireplace, dining area, family room and very large kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Relax in the master's comfortable rustic king size bed and shower with pebble stone floor. You can see the reflection of Mt. Sneffels (a 14'000’ peak) while gazing in one of the master bath mirrors. If dry air and hard water don't please you, not to fret, the water is softened and the air humidified. As you make your way down the custom aspen railing to the guest bedrooms, you will first come upon the ‘Bear’ themed bathroom. This bath has custom cabinetry, a bath tub and shower. Enter next the ‘Winter Mountain’ bedroom, which contains all custom aspen furniture; 2 murphy beds, a flat screen TV and plenty of storage space. Across the hall is the 'Queen' room with lodge decor bedding, a desk and walk in closet. Behind the Queen bedroom is a laundry room with washer and dryer for your use. To maximize your outdoor experience in the pleasant weather months, there is a seating area on both the East & West sides of the patio, and a 3rd garden patio area mid level on the East side. There is a propane grill for your use and be sure to take advantage of relaxing in the excellent hot tub year all year round. San Juan Paradise does not disappoint! Special extra - Meal service & massage can be arranged upon request.

About Jill Parisi
Owner’s have called Arizona and Colorado their home for over 2 decades. With passions as diverse as hiking, ski-ing, ice-climbing, ATV’ing, snow-shoe-ing and water sports. Originally from NJ, I personally fell in love with Ouray County when first coming to this area in 1984 as a teenager. I was so blown away & enamored with the beauty and the unique rugged majestic mountains, that I vowed to myself one day I would own a home here. Dreams do come true.

We custom built & designed our home in 2006 & have enjoyed it immensely over the years. After traveling all over Colorado every year since moving to AZ in 1989, my family agreed and were convinced that what I had recognized at 19 years old still remained true. This special place is where we determined to build our 2nd home. Life circumstances has prevented our using it as much as we have in the past. So this brings the choice of sharing our wonderful home with others who can appreciate its specialness rather than to let this jewel sit idle.
What makes this Chalet unique
The most unique benefit of San Juan Paradise is that you are surrounded by the mountains on 2 acres which truly gives you the feeling of being away from it all. Yet at the same time there are all the amenities close by & the comfort of being home. Access on an extremely well maintained paved county road makes getting here a breeze. You will want to get outside as much as possible and enjoy everything this area has to offer. If you prefer not to travel outside of the neighborhood, Village activity abounds and beckons with friendliness. Steps away to walking paths, snow shoe trails, hiking, cross country ski trails and roadways are very bike friendly. To maximize your outdoor experience while at home, enjoy dual seating areas on both the East and West sides of the home. Great care & pride were taken in personally designing, decorating and hand selecting every piece that went into the home. From the antler cabinet pulls, to the whimsical lighting, to the custom designed furniture, the list goes on.... San Juan Paradise is exceptional
We stayed at San Juan Paradise in August of 2017 and had nothing other than a fantastic time. The location is perfect, close to Ridgway and nicely nestled between Ouray and Telluride, offering plenty of different options for your stay. The home has everything you need for your stay, from cooking dinner to relaxing in the hot tub, reading a book at the living room window or even sitting down to watch a little television, everything we needed was there. The views from the home are superb, wonderful views of Chimney Rock, Mount Sneffles and the open valley to the north toward Montrose. We spent a lot of time on the huge wraparound deck enjoying the views in every direction. We were lucky enough that our stay was at the beginning of the Perseid meteor shower and we were able to see so many shooting stars. We also enjoyed watching the storms roll through to the north, offering us shows of lighting and amazing sunsets. There was also a neighborhood park at the edge of Log Hill that offered some amazing views to the south, this was only a 5 minute drive from the home. I would highly recommend San Juan Paradise for your stay if you are looking for a comfortable home with privacy and views offering easy access to Ouray, Ridgway, Telluride and Montrose. Jill, the property owner, is very kind and works very hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Kudos to Jill and what she has offered here, we will definitely be returning the next time we are fortunate enough to get to the area. One of my favorite areas on earth. :)

Fantastic Mountain Home with Great Views
Very pleased with everything about this rental. Jill is very nice and communication with her is easy. Her home is nice and the amenities are simple and solid. The only slight negative was the minimal kitchen pots, pans and knives situation. Everything else was fantastic!
Hi. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay. Am concerned that some of my pots, pans and utensils have been taken. Actually in the past, I've received comments about how well equipped my kitchen was. Could not have been better!
I was unfamiliar with this side of Colorado, but after visting Ridgway Ouray and Telluride, I must say that this is the best area in Colorado. So much so, my wife and I are considering buying land around there. The house it self is amazing, a person truly feels like you are in the mountains, the views are incredible, the hot tub is perfectly placed for a beautiful relaxing soak for all times of the day. Jill the home owner is great, she send you information about the area, whats going on and is available through talk or text at all times.

The perfect mountain getaway!
This home is a well cared for and well-equipped property where a couple or family can fully enjoy the mountains and all they have to offer! You never have to leave the property because there is plenty to do right there but it is also centrally located to lots of wonderful Colorado adventure possibilities! Ridgeway is a great little town with a number of great restaurants, bike trails, a grocery store and amazing views all around. Ouray is only about 25 minutes drive with more hiking trails, restaurants, shops, etc. Telluride is about 40 minutes away. The possibilities are endless for adventure opportunities but our favorite thing to do was hiking around the home and admiring the stunning mountain views from anywhere inside or outside the beautiful mountain home! We would definitely return to this wonderful place!

Ouray County is simply awe inspiring - and San Juan Paradise is engulfed in it's beauty no matter where you are in or outside of the home. This is an ideal retreat for every type of traveler. Hiking, hunting, biking, golfing, snow shoe-ing, and cross country ski-ing right in the neighborhood. Relax in the hot-tub and be prepared to have your breath taken away by the magnificence surrounding you both day and night. Wildlife sightings are a daily treat, as are endless stars and the milky way. Exceptional Panoramic Views - San Juan Mountain Range to the South, Cimmarron Mountain Range to the East & Grand Mesa to the North! Enjoy evening alpenglow, every weather & star phenomena imaginable! Upscale comfort - a 2000 sq' home facing the San Juan Mountain range is a cedar Lindal A-frame home with a 1500 sq' deck and hot tub. It is beautifully and artistically decorated with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a gourmet kitchen and sky wall. The main living area and master bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed are on the 2nd floor. Downstairs are 2 bedrooms - one with a Queen and another with the two single murphy beds and a Flat screen TV. The roads to your dream are all paved - ahhh. Town is a quick drive 1000 feet below. A must see right in the neighborhood is Inspiration Point. Here you will feel as if you are standing on top & at the edge of the world. A not to be missed picture spot.
