Sea Blast is nestled in a residential neighborhood in Vilano Beach with inlet, beach and pier within close walking distance. Very clean, spacious with many amenities. Enjoyed our family vacation here.

Our family was there for a wedding in downtown St. Augustine and this was the perfect home and location. Such great amenities and extras for the beach, from the bikes to the wagons there to haul our beach gear. The owners of Sea Blast are excellent!

Owner's Response: Our guests expect to have some R&R when they come. We really focus on supplying as much as possible for them so that they don't have to spend their limited time on shopping for items that they need. We are happy when our guests appreciate all that is done for them behind the scene. The Sea Blast crew appreciates the way guests treat the house like a home. Sea Blast guests are the greatest!

Had a BLAST at Sea Blast

  • 5 of 5

Sea Blast will not disappoint!! My family had a wonderful stay at this lovely beach house. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood and walking distance to the beach, the pier (riverside), with grocery stores and a few restaurants nearby. The home is just lovely and the inside was very pretty and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed having meals at home. St. Augustine (the city) is just a few minutes drive away across the bridge. My family enjoyed our stay and it we were sad to leave. It was our first time visiting the St. Augustine area and we were glad that we had this beach house to spend our vacation in. We hope to be back in the near future!! Many thanks to Barb, the owner, who was a pleasure to work with!!

The home was everything we expected. The family enjoyed the beach almost every day. If we come to Florida in the future we will try to get this home again. Thank you from the Don & Shirl Mehrmann family.

If there were ribbons presented for the best possible VRBO house & hosts, Bob & Barb's "Sea Blast" would win our blue ribbon, hands down. We have rented many, many homes around the country in our travels---most of them very nice---but none has begun to compare to the comfort and loveliness of Sea Blast. The spacious "upstairs/downstairs" layout exudes privacy yet welcomes togetherness, cleanliness abounds, everything that one could possibly need is provided, for both indoor and outdoor endeavors (i.e. FULLY-equipped kitchen, large dining room table, well-stocked baths, crisp linens, soft towels...also bicycles, skim boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, charcoal name it and you will find it at Sea Blast!). All four bedrooms have wonderfully comfortable mattresses and good lighting, along with an assortment of flat-screened tv's and/or overflowing bookshelves. The kind, interesting owners were always accessible but never overbearing...(Barb has decorated every single wall of the home with her own colorful creations, some of the nicest paintings I have ever seen). The large, wide sunny deck (with some shady areas, too!) was SO welcoming, from morning coffee & newspapers to evening dinners under the stars with the ocean surf crashing & pounding in the distance! The surrounding neighborhood is very conducive to walking & biking, with beaches, nice restaurants, Publix store, boardwalk and Inland Waterway all within less than a half-mile away. St. Augustine is an easy 15-minute drive and well worth the parking fees to walk the historical district and soak in the "oldness" of that beautiful city. Our two months at Sea Blast (12/31/16 - 2/28/17) went by far too quickly but our fond memories of this PERFECT vacation home will linger in our memories for a very long time. A thousand thanks, Bob & Barb (and "Bronco"!) for making such warm memories possible.

Owner's Response: It doesn't get any better than that! Thank you for taking the time for the outstanding review. We enjoyed your visit! options: It's 3 miles to the historic downtown. Sea Blast has 4 adult bikes you can ride and park at the bike racks downtown. Some folks are taking the water taxi across the river and back. You can leave your car in the driveway and just walk to the fishing pier to get the taxi--by appointment.--which is good --so you can plan and know you will have a seat. They were going downtown to a seafood festival today. If you are missing St. Augustine, you are missing something! Come on down.

Enjoyed It So Much That We Returned

  • 5 of 5

We first stayed at Sea Blast with our adult children and two young grandchildren last year during the Christmas holidays, and we had such a great time that we returned for this year's holidays. The layout of the house works well for our family, with separate space for our son and his family downstairs where the kids enjoyed the bunk beds. The door at the top of the stairs kept the two-year-old from wandering. Just as it was last year, the house was clean, bright, and very well equipped, with everything was in good working order. We love the convenient location, just a couple of blocks from a nice public beach and a Publix grocery store, and a short drive to St. Augustine. Good restaurants are nearby, and we especially liked the pizza at the 180 Vilano Grill. Barb is always friendly and responsive, and we appreciate the way she worked with us to resolve an issue (our fault) that occurred at our departure. She went to great lengths to help, which shows the kind of service she provides. Many thanks, Barb!
