We also have a bunk house that sleeps 4-5, so sleeps a total of 10-11 guests. Located on the popular recreation and fishing lake, the Minong Flowage, you are surrounded by pine trees in a true Northwoods setting. The interior is warm, inviting, and comfortable.

We also have an arcade game, Centipede, in our full basement. The home is equipped with washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. If it rains, no worries, we have tons of board games, 3 vcrs and satellite tv. You won't find a more quiet or fun place to relax, fish and for lake recreation. Nothing more fun than drifting around the lake on a pontoon boat and visiting the many restaurants or islands on the lake. About Stephanie Reineck

We purchased an existing cabin and with two little ones decided to remodel.....this has been a JOY to our family and friends and we hope to share the incredible lake experience with others. It truly is a great place to spend some time - so come and explore and we'll help you plan a great vacation.

What makes this cabin unique

Why do I LOVE this cabin? NO STEPS - this cabin has a gentle slope to lake, which is ideal for almost everyone and a rarity to find in the Northwoods - LOVE IT! This lake has islands and restaurants you can boat to, again, a rarity to find, and so much fun to explore. The cabin is really a four-season lake home, but it has the Northwoods feel plus comfort with all the amenities and custom upgrades.

Family Memories

  • 5 of 5

Our family has been renting a cabin for 6 years. This was everyone's favorite. The living room space was huge and gorgeous. So was the kitchen, and very well stocked. We brought extra plates just to be safe, but there were at least 15 there. The bunk house was taken over by one of the families of 5 and was perfect for them. We had 3 generations and there were things for everyone - indoor and outdoor games, a deck, screened in porch (fun to enjoy during a nice rain), flat yard, fire pit (which we enjoyed most every night). The paddle boards were a huge hit with everyone. The short, straight out walk to the dock was most appreciated by Grandpa with bad knees and Grandma with COPD. The quiet bay and even the lake were not crowded so made boating, fishing and paddle boarding a lot more enjoyable. All in all, we would highly recommend this rental.

Great week at the lake

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a great stay at your lake cabin. The place was beautiful and nicely furnished. The bunk house worked well for one of the families. The kids enjoyed fishing off the dock as well as swimming in front of cabin, nice sandy bottom. The deck worked well, we brought a fold up table along so most meals were eaten on the deck which was nice. The gas grille was the nicest we've had while renting cabins. Rented a pontoon for 3 days and enjoyed going to the sand island to swim and play. the stumps in the bay were a little interesting so needed to be careful moving to the main lake. The plus with that was it cut down on boat traffic in the bay. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

Great property with lots of amenities

  • 4 of 5

The house is fantastic, the yard and fire pit are great, the screened-in porch is nice and getting to use the canoes and paddle boards was a huge bonus The basement is awesome with all of the games for rainy days. However, we were a bit disappointed in the location on "stump bay" as it does not seem safe for tubing and skiing. We trailered a boat in for these activities but getting to the main area of the lake takes a good 10-15 minutes. Also, for what it is worth, no one in our group wanted to use the bunk house due to the lack of A/C and bathroom.

Owner's Response: Our bay is quiet and on the south side is a good spot for tubing. However, if had known your plans or that you were looking for good spot for skiing and tubing, would've mentioned, just asked about swimming. This is a big lake and like all lakes has its nuances. The main part of lake is where everyone does rec, except locals, we know the area in south part of bay is great.

Beautiful lake home!

  • 5 of 5

This place had everything we needed for the week! The home was so beautiful it was such a bummer to pack up. We loved coffee on the deck in front of the lake and relaxing afternoons outside. We took trips to the sandy island on our boat, used the canoes & paddle board, nightly meals on the grill, and spent time around the campfire. We didn't mind the rainy day spent inside the cabin because it was so nice in there. We had babies, little kids, adults and grandparents, and we all had a wonderful time. Thanks for opening up your home to us!!

Great place, very family friendly

  • 4 of 5

Our extended family of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids) loved our our stay here! Water is fantastic for swimming - sand bottom, very little weeds, perfect depth and a great temp. The cabin and grounds itself were in fantastic condition; the kids especially loved staying in the bunkhouse. The open floor plan in the main home is perfect to gather, play games, eat a meal, etc.. To top it off when we arrived and checked for "cleanliness", in the words of my wife, it was the cleanest cabin we've ever rented (big kuddos to Stephanie and your cleaning service for a job very well done)! The Minong Flowage is a fun lake to be on. It's a perfect size for fishing, tubing and cruising around, although you will need to be mindful of a few stumps as you move from the bay the cabin is on to the bigger body of water. Overall I definitely recommend this cabin for a great vacation.

Very Nice

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was fantastic. The home was perfect with plenty of room for a fairly large family especially with the bunkhouse. The kitchen has a lot of room to prepare meals and there was ample seating for us all to enjoy our outside grilled meals. The basement was perfect for the kids to hang out and play video games. The property is beautiful with an awesome view of the lake and no hills or stairs to climb to get to the waters edge just about 100 feet from the deck. The Minong Flowage itself is beautiful and scenic, has an island or two that you can enjoy lunch on and has a thoroughfare to Cranberry Lake as well. The fishing was fair with many LARGE bluegills caught on a jig and minnow/crawler. We caught several bass and northern as well using top water lures ie. frogs, buzz baits etc. Not much for size but fun just as well. The kids were fishing every day til dark! Our week was perfect and we are glad that we found this rental to use. Thanks to the owners, who were very accommodating and nice, for sharing with us.

You may not have heard about this GEM of a lake, but anyone looking to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Wisconsin’s Northwoods combined with some great recreational activities and fun restaurants, can find exactly what they are looking for in Minong. Minong is a small town but offers everything for those looking to experience the great outdoors, ALL SEASONS. From fishing to tubing to just watching the colors of fall turn, Minong is a perfect place to take in the popular activities of each season. We have FANTASTIC trails for riding ATVs, snowmobiling, and skiing (cross country); everything to keep outdoor enthusiasts busy all year round. In the summer - you will see people sailing, water skiing and tubing, canoeing and lake kayaking, going to sandy island and sliding down the hill, or just going for a pontoon cruise and checking out the different islands and restaurants. For groceries, we have a little corner store for those quick, little trips and in Minong a great little grocery store for stocking up for the week. Looking for a good restaurant, nothing is more fun than taking the pontoon boat to various restaurants on the lake or the neighboring Cranberry Lake, which you can get to through a channel.

If you want to Fish - look no further. The Minong Flowage is a 1,564 acre lake with northern, walleye, bass and panfish.

Or in the winter - walk out the front door and ice fish.

Some of our favorite places to eat are: The Viewpoint, The Golden Chipmunk, Pogos, Bootleggers, The Lookout, and Gruzy's, and of course we love Seaman's Bar for a quick stop for popcorn, pizza, or ice cream while spending day on the lake.

For those ATV and Snowmobile Fans: We Have hundreds of miles of trails surrounding us! The Wild Rivers Trail is a 96 mile long state trail and runs directly through Minong and connects to other snowmobile and ATV systems.

For those hunters: there is LOTS of county forest land to explore. From fun in the sun in Summer to Ice Fishing and Snowmobiling in the winter - we've got it all!
