Private One-Bedroom Apartment close to State and National Parks

Bedrooms 1
Space 700 sq. ft.
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 1 - 2 nights

About the property

Enjoy the view of Bryce Canyon from your private patio. This spacious 700 square-foot, one-bedroom apartment has a full kitchen stocked with everything you need to make your own meals (except the food of course - some basic spices, oil, etc. are included) with seating and place settings for four. Quiet and secluded away from the busy tourist areas yet just 1.6 miles to Tropic and only 10 minutes to Bryce Canyon. The private bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed, walk-in closet and full bath (tub/shower). The living room is furnished with sofa, arm chair and 40' Smart TV with blu ray/DVD player. We have two twin-sized extra-height air beds that we can put in the living room for children traveling with adults (also quite comfortable for adults if not too large or tall ). Free WIFI and local phone.

This property is centrally located to many State and National Parks: Bryce Canyon, Red Canyon, Kodachrome Basin, Grand Staircase, Dixie National Forest and just a little further to Zion National Park, Boulder Mountain and Capitol Reef. You could easily stay here for a week without running out of places to go and things to do. You are welcome to use our outdoor fire pit (we keep ingredients for s'mores on hand) and the stars are especially gorgeous out here away from the lights.

We are located just north of Tropic between mile markers 19 and 20. If you are arriving after dark, look for the street light at the intersection of Highway 12 and 1250 N. You will be turning east on a gravel road and we are the second house.

Please note that we do not charge an extra cleaning fee or insurance - the price you see is the price you get. See our agreement for additional details.

We hope to see you soon!

About Steve & Wendi Hill

We moved to Central Utah three years ago because we always wanted to live where we love to spend our vacations. Wendi is a candy maker/chocolatier and you will find a complimentary sample in your room upon arrival. Steve is a teacher.

We owned a wedding and reception center years ago in Northern Utah and found great satisfaction in helping others celebrate their special occasion. We decided that it would be fun to own a bed & breakfast someday when the kids were older. Well, our two oldest are pretty much out of the house and the two youngest are teenagers, so we are now enjoying our dream of helping others enjoy their vacations.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Very good location - Bryce Canyon is about 10 minutes away by car . Very friendly hostess who has really tried to fulfill every wish! The price - performance ratio can only be described as very good. As a bonus, we also had really tasty , home-made chocolates from Wendi - great! Thanks for everything!

Quiet, serene, attractive and clean

  • 5 of 5

The place was just as described and the photos are accurate. What you don't get in the photos are the quiet beauty of the location or what great hosts Wendi and Steve are. We ended up extending by a day, and would have extended longer if we could have.

Great hospitality near Bryce Canyon NP

This place had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully supplied and the bed was very comfortable. The owners were on sight and available for any questions or concerns. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Loved the unit, except for the lack of internet connection for the TV, especially when viewing a movie.

Beautiful space, quiet and well kept. Exactly as advertised.

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely place - close to Bryce National Park and other interesting spots, but out of the crowds. Beautiful views. Apartment is very nice and very comfortable - great to come back to after a morning of hiking and such. Wendi and Steve were helpful and accommodating but also respectful of privacy. And Wendi makes incredible chocolates!!

Kitchen is adequately equipped though we noted a few issues (we had trouble finding and figuring out the stove fan; no vegetable steamer we could find - nothing that hugely detracted). Very nice knives, which we always notice and appreciate.

We never could figure out the TV - but really didn't care that much anyway. I know Wendi would have been happy to assist if asked.

We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again if back in the area.

(there is no recycling, though you can find some at Bryce. We hauled all our glass bottles back to CA).

Feels like home!

  • 5 of 5

This is our first time to rent through VRBO and Steve and Wendi was just the most amazing hosts! Wendi was out of town during our stay but boy oh boy did Steve make us feel as if we are long lost relatives - he surely did!

We came from Horshoebend and did not realize the time difference. Most places around Bryce closes at 9PM. Steve called us back and offered to pick up the BBQ dinner that my husband was craving for. Who does that???? We were just really impressed with Steve!

Their VRBO is so cute, adorable and super clean. When we arrived, Steve greeted us so warmly and showed us around and made us feel really safe and comfortable. Truly, it felt like we came home to a family friend who was waiting with anticipation to welcome us!

We ate dinner, slept like a baby and the following morning went to Bryce for a morning hike. Bryce canyon is only 10 minutes away from Steve and Wendi's! We left our rental at the bus shuttle and took the bus to Bryce!

Our experience was so good that we told Steve that we are coming back for sure and this time for 2 nights so we can explore Bryce some more!

Steve and Wendi - thank you for making our first VRBO experience unforgettable. Your kindness, hospitality and genuine personality makes renting with strangers easy! See you real soon.

PS - Wendi makes the most amazing, delicious chocolates and she left me with two pieces that I gobbled them so fast my husband worried someone else took them :)
