Has potential, but not there yet

Location on Bay St is nice for walking the beautiful Savannah streets or if you're a bar hopper. However, it is quite noisy at night due to the bar beneath. Unfortunately the apartment was a disappointment. It's very hard to find if you are not local. The door is supposedly locked and a code needed to enter stairway up to apartment. Door was not secure and had to climb over someone sitting in the doorway. The apartment looks like someone just moved out and left as is; holes in wall, old wore out sofa, TV but no cable or local channels to watch, no Wi-Fi, refrig barely kept a bottle of water cool, microwave didn't work, no working smoke detectors, no dresser or any where to put your luggage except on the bedroom floor, bedroom window leaked when it rained.... and to top it off there is a $50 cleaning fee! Which is expensive for 2 night stay! I wouldn't mind paying so much if it was clean why we arrived. Bathroom sink and faucet was dirty, hair on the bathroom floor, and a nasty dirty bath rug. As a plus, there is a coffee maker, a package of coffee and the weather was amazing the weekend following hurricane Matthew! All that being said, the apartment is cute, has character and lots of potential.... once these things are addressed.

Great location! Everything is within walking distance. River was right across street. We also enjoyed the karaoke bar next door at night. A little hard to spot, directions weren't very precise (the place is right next to Outback). Parking garage is around the corner so have to pay to park and have to haul luggage across the street. Inside the actual unit was disappointing. The cable was still not fixed, we assumed since there were already reviews about this issue that the property owner may have taken the initiative to fix this. There was also no wifi access so firestick was also not an option. Also no DVD player. So all tv out of the picture which would have been nice to have at night. The bed was full sized so not very big, but non-the less comfortable. Also included in rental rate is a cleaning fee and floors were dirty in bathroom & shower curtain too small. The shower handle has been fixed & fridge was not loud (which were problems in other reviews) We don't consider ourselves snotty people, however when paying for a room the least we would expect is tv and a clean bathroom. I would recommend spending the extra money on a hotel room.

March Weekend Stay With Friends

  • 3 of 5

I'm torn on this property. 4 stars for the actual unit, 2.5 stars for the experience.

We were truly looking for a place just to rest our heads, and in reality, I guess that's what we got . Location is fantastic if you're in town for a bar-hopping type trip. We were close to anywhere we'd want to go like Jen's, Wet Willie's and the karaoke bar next door we always hit late at night. But also walking to Forsyth Park and through the squares was convenient as well! The cable didn't work as other reviews had mentioned and the refrigerator was really loud, so it's probably not the best place to stay if you're planning on spending a lot of time in the rental. However, the rental was clean, we felt safe and the noise wasn't too bad from the neighboring alley. The manager was easily reached by text and phone call, but my advice is to make a phone call if you have an issue. Her and I had some major miscommunication via text over the A/C not working, that unfortunately put a big damper on our weekend. However, she did offer to move us to another rental she had a cancellation at (we chose to stay in hopes the AC would get fixed since the location was the selling point for us) and at the beginning of our issue, I could tell she genuinely felt sorry for the problems we were encountering. So, if you happen to need customer service, it's there but not 100% perfect.

All in all, if you just need a "budget rental" (manager's words not mine) to sleep at while you enjoy the city during the day and into the evening, this is your place. We loved the exposed brick, natural lighting and layout, and of course the location which is what kept us there despite the issues we encountered.

Weekend Getaway

  • 1 of 5

Please read the other reviews as you will see the problems we experienced are the same a those who stayed in the unit. Arrived on Friday and the cable did not work. Contacted the property managers as instructed and waited on a is Saturday and the cable is not working. Next we found in the bathroom that the shower did not have a handle!!!! Again contacted the property managers and their response was "how could that be as there was a handle when we cleaned the unit". I texted a picture a picture to them as evedence and we didn't hear anything from them. Totally unacceptable!!!!!! The rate to stay here was comparable to hotel rates and I know had I been in a hotel these issues would have been addressed. When renting this location we weren't expecting the Ritz however we did expect things to work. My recommendation is to stay at a hotel in the same area!!!!! It might cost a little more but atleast issues will get resolved and your shower will work!!!!! Very disappointed in this location.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

The condo space is perfect for a weekend. Great location, safe, easy to get to, and adequate parking surrounding. Space is cozy, and perfect if just needing a place to crash after a day of sightseeing. We never used the kitchen or washer/dryer. Cable didn't work, but we only turned it on 1 night before dinner when we realized it. Also shower was absent a handle, so you have to turn manually with your fingers, but mild inconveniences for the price. Enjoy your stay, and landlord group is great in communication.

The location was fantastic. The property was very disappointing. The bathroom was in rough shape and there was no nozzle on the shower to turn it on. The T.V. did not work. There were very few dishes and utensils .
