Clean, modern but very noisy

Let me first start with the positive: Johnathan, the property manager was very professional, superfriendly and helped us with whatever we needed.

The apartment is clean, modern and has assigned parking in the basement, all very good.

However: we stayed there during the remodel of our own house and I needed to work from home during the day. This was very difficult due to the 2 massive construction sites directly next to the property; the noise started at 8am and went until 6pm everyday, making it practically impossible to work. When I asked one of the workers how long they thought they would be there for he said: "Way into the summer".

Halfway through our stay I received an email from property management that they would change the locks on our doors that day. Luckily I was home and it didn't take that long, but when I asked them why they did this they said "we do this once a year this is routine". But if that was the case, why did we not get more of a heads-up and why did Johnathan say the building was only 10 months old when we moved in? Either way, we didn't really feel very safe after that to be honest.

So I would say if you need a place to sleep during your holidays in Santa Monica and you are never at home during the day this is the perfect place, otherwise stay away.

Owner's Response: As part of our check in process guest are advised as to what might result in a chargeback against the guest’s deposit. This is provided in writing at the time of check in and the guests must acknowledge acceptance of the rules by their signature. Unfortunately we had a small charge against this guest’s deposit. When advised of the charge, the guest indicated that he would leave a negative review unless we refunded the full deposit. The guests did not raise questions or issues with us during his stay. The neighborhood is rated A for safety on We have 4 units in the building that are used for fully furnished short-term rentals and we are also the property management company for this 9 unit building. We have not had any reports of similar issues from any other guests or tenants.

Super Apartment, top in LA!

We spent 5 nights at the property. The accommodation was very large and high quality. Free Wi-Fi and a free parking space is included in the price. A washing machine and dryer was available. Two bedrooms with one double bed and two separate bathrooms and a closet begebahrer was also to be found. The roof terrace was very large and inviting for sunbathing.
