About Schulzie Roland

I am a generational New Orleanian and the French side of my family has been in this amazing city for over 300 years as part of the Founding Fathers of New Orleans. I love this city and its unique characteristics and care about your experience; I want you to have an amazing time in New Orleans; I genuinely care!... and I assure you this property can help facilitate that, the rest is up to you.

Why Schulzie Roland chose Uptown-Carrollton

The property was built in 1875 after the Civil War and has only change ownership 5 times in that time period. It boasts 12 ft ceilings, hard wood floors, a balcony overlooking the Avenue, beautiful landscaping, and an absolutely brilliant location.

What makes this apartment unique

I have a property manager who is available to make sure your experience is smooth and exceptional. From booking to cleaning, she manages the entire experience and insures you have everything you need to truly enjoy New Orleans. I have a great ice maker and wet bar so please feel free to bring alcohol and mixers, bring your favorite cocktails and enjoy on the balcony on the Avenue.

Charm and Convenience on St. Charles Aveue

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this clean, handsomely furnished apartment in Uptown. This was our first trip to NOLA and the charm and convenience of the neighborhood were key to our selection of this rental. There are many great places to eat nearby. We especially enjoyed Superior Seafood.

The St. Charles Avenue streetcar stops in front of the property. It is easy to access the freeway for drives to the plantations or swamp tours. We enjoyed walking to Audubon Park and Tulane. Many of the homes along were elegantly decorated for the holidays. The property manager was exceptionally responsive and helpful which was much appreciated.

Because the apartment is on the second floor of this historic home, there is a long flight of exterior metal stairs to access the entrance which can be a bit of a challenge in the rain or for those of us with knee issues.

Beautiful gem in a great area

  • 5 of 5

My husband, myself, and my 11 month old stayed in this gorgeous apartment. Such a neat place with plenty of room to spread out. We strolled and walked the neighborhood a lot - had coffee and delicious pastries at Manhattan Jacks, bought wine and cheese just a couple blocks away. We also walked to dinner most nights...rode the street car one day to the garden district, but just ended up walking home to gawk at the gorgeous homes in the neighborhood. Great place and location!

Clean and convenient place in Uptown near Tulane

  • 5 of 5

The property is very well maintained. If your reason to go to NOLA is for the experience of Uptown and not the action of Bourbon Street, this is a great place. We like to walk to restaurants, coffee, and just enjoy the neighborhoods of NOLA. To be able to walk to Audubon Park in the morning and then have lunch at a quiet out of the way restaurant is a nice way to enjoy NOLA. If you wanted to catch the trolley and head downtown that is certainly there as well. The owner is nice, available, and accommodating. Definitely would stay there again if Uptown or Tulane University is reason for your visit to NOLA.

Worked perfectly to get ready with my bridesmaids!

  • 5 of 5

I'm from New Orleans, but I used this house (upstairs) to get ready with my bridesmaids before my wedding! We stayed there the night before, got ready the day of, and then the groom and I stayed there the night of our wedding. Everything was incredibly nice and comfortable. High ceilings, very comfy beds, great location. We took pictures on the balcony which had St. Charles in the background. Very nice!!! There was also a cute courtyard but we didn't get to use it because it was raining. Going down the outside stairs in a wedding dress (and in the rain) was a little tough but worked out fine. Whether for a wedding, vacation, or even just a staycation, I would definitely recommend!!!

Lovely home with amazing location

  • 5 of 5

Having grown up in New Orleans this apartment is great. Tons of character. Great location. Has everything you need and is super comfy. We love the uptown area and loved being in walking distance of so many of them. We walked to Audubon park, enjoyed coffee and beignets around the corner, listening to the streetcar. Can't recommend this place enough. We will be back.
