Everything was what we expected
Super cute, clean home with very peaceful nature. Would definitely recommend this home!
Perfect cabin (long) weekend!
This cabin is 5stars all the way. The home is in a perfect location - far enough away to enjoy the quiet and calm but close enough to "things" to go somewhere if you want to. There is everything you need in this home from extra bedding to a fully stocked kitchen of pots and pans, etc. We cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner for 4 days in the cabin and everything we needed for cooking was there - including a huge array of spices! The cabin is very comfortable and clean. We really loved it! The manager of the home is terrific, she was extremely fast in responding to all my correspondence prior to and during the stay. The wifi is super fast, the hot tub is great, the fire pit by the river is perfect. We will for sure book here again! Highly recommend! Enjoy.
Magical weekend escape
A friend and I spent a lovely weekend at this cabin. It's a great spot to get away for a weekend and relax. We loved the river view and hearing the sound of the water from the house, and there is a nice path that goes right down to the river where there is a perfect rock for sitting and drinking morning coffee in the sunshine.
There is also a riverside fire pit, though we didn't end up using it because it was very windy the night that we were going to have a fire. It was a great spot to sit and look at the stars though! (Minimal light pollution in the area so they were bright and numerous).
The hot tub was very clean, well-maintained, spacious, and offered great views of the sunrise as well as welcome muscle soaking after our hike up Dirtyface Peak. That hike and others near Lake Wenatchee are easily accessible within a 20 minute drive from the cabin.
The kitchen was well-equipped, including a good variety and quantity of pots, pans and cooking implements - and a coffee maker (although I brought my own French Press). And the deck right off the kitchen is great for eating outside. There were also lots of towels in the bathrooms and for the hot tub, which is always appreciated.
I had a couple of pre-trip questions and the owner was very responsive, answering them very quickly. The arrival information is very detailed and helpful.
Overall it was a wonderful weekend. We loved the cabin and were sad to have to leave. Hoping to be able to come back again soon!
Horrible!!! Old, moldy place. Don’t believe any good reviews - All is fake!!!
We arrived at this place and left right away.
Moldy and old. You won’t even want to touch it.
Scrubbed sinks, 50y old carpets and coaches that you will feel disgusting to seat on.
It looks remodeled from outside but really old and ugly inside. BBQ is old and rusty
River view - was taken probably from other house since river is really far. Construction view on the other side of the house.
Also we got a response from the agent only after an hour ( texting, calling... etc)
Overprice is not the right word.
Ruined vacation for entire family.
Hi everyone that's reading this review. Our house is very clean, the carpets are 2 years old, we have beautiful leather couches, great NW Indian Art, etc., we're located right on the river (we're on 2 acres and our home is above the river) hopefully you can see by long history of stays/happy guests that this person is off. We've been in contact with VRBO because outstanding issues related to her.
The cabin was everything promised- the wifi was fast and the cabin was well-stocked. I wish the fire ring were a bit closer to the cabin as there was a bit of snow on the ground and the long trek to the pit never really seamed worth the trouble. So, we packed our wood home and just enjoyed the fireplaces. There are neighborhood dogs who are off-leash. Just a heads up if you are bringing pets. They are friendly, but if your dog is not social, best to stick close to the cabin. We would definitely come back!
Great winter cabin!
We’re a group of two couples and one toddler. We had a fantastic stay in this wonderful cabin. Great lay out—we liked having the bedrooms on separate floors and two living rooms was a bonus. Lots of great space to relax. We loved the hot tub. We had fun xc skiing on the Plain trails. I highly recommend this cabin.
Plain Hardware and Plain Grocery
The friendly town of Plain is just a few minutes away and has Plain Grocery and Plain Hardware~ a charming store with Lattes and home accessories.
A great place to take the kids fishing in the summer!
Mountain Springs Lodge
Horseback Rides, Hay rides, winter guided snowmobile tours, and a fantastic restaurant as well!
Heaven Can Wait Lodge
The Lodge is our other home available for rent and can sleep up to 26 people.
Osprey Nest Cabin
Our smaller cabin in a secluded wooded setting on the Wenatchee River.
A great 50's themed diner, a great place to stop for a meal on your way to or from the cabin!
Kahler Glen Golf Course
A beautiful Golf course about 10 minutes from the cabin!
The Bavarian Village of Leavenworth is a beautiful 25 minute drive through the Chumstick valley.
Lake Wentachee State Park
Launch a boat or just enjoy a picnic at the beautiful lakeside park!
Downhill skiing and cross country skiing too all about 30 minutes from the cabin!
Salmon fishing on the Wenatchee River! View on map
The Wenatchee River has long been regarded as one of the best fly fishing steelhead streams in Washington State, but it has been closed for more than a decade. It is open from Leavenworth down to the confluence of the Columbia River in Wenatchee. We like to refer to this trip as 'steelhead fishing in the Alps' due to the amazing mountainous backdrops and the Bavarian feel of the Leavenworth area. The only thing better than steelhead fishing, is steelhead fishing followed by some great German food and a stout ale in Leavenworth. If you want an outfitter to guide you, we have that option available also. http://www.leavenworth.org/modules/pages/?pageid=93&path=9|93
