About Lynn Manilow

John and I are true lovers of our amazing city and embrace all that it has to offer. John was born and raised in Chicago, and I am a transplant of Detroit, MI. As a docent at the MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art), I have made sure to stock the apartment with wonderful art books for you to enjoy. John, a lover of food and wine, would love to chat with you about all the local dining treasures in Chicago. John loves food so much that in 1994, he opened up his first restaurant called, John's Place, the very place we met. John and I now own 2 restaurants including John's Place in Roscoe Village and the White Oak Tavern & Inn.

Lynn Manilow purchased this apartment in 1999

Awesome Location! Great Property!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in Chicago. This property was very close to public transit and the location in Lincoln Park was awesome. The neighbourhood was lovely and the unit is right across from a park. Lots of restaurants around, but no excessive noise. Would recommend for multiple families or a group of friends as unit is very spacious.

Wonderful Chicago skyline view!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed 5 nights at the White Oak guesthouse and loved every minute of it. We were within walking distance to everything, grocery stores, restaurants, bakery, trains and shopping. The neighborhood is charming and quiet. We enjoyed the ping pong table and had nightly games before bed. The bathrooms were well stocked with all the necessities, body wash, shampoo and body lotion. I even enjoyed climbing the stairs, it was a great workout. We hope to come back for a visit in the future.

Bright and Light! Awesome!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful stay we had in this large, light-filled, well-appointed apartment! it was close to everything -- a playground for the kiddos, a cupcake shop nearly next door, an absolutely delicious cafe for breakfast and lunch which was suitable for kids, us, and the grandparents -- something for everyone! Just below was a fabulous restaurant, White Oak, owned by the same people who own the apartment. It was delicious! We were only a few blocks to the El which could take us anywhere in the city. i would definitely stay here again.

Really Made our Son's Wedding Week a Breeze - Thank You!

  • 5 of 5

We were in Chicago from New York for our son's wedding week and stayed here with friends and family. Thoroughly enjoyed the VRBO in Lincoln Park. Location, great building, near downtown, entertainment venues (while here we saw Dave Matthews at Huntington Pavilion, an evening Cubs game, and enjoyed several area restaurants). Our 'go-to' restaurant every time we stay in Chicago is Riccardo Enoteca on North Clark here in Lincoln Park (15 minute walk). All our guests really enjoyed the place. Street parking was easy-to-find and not an issue. Clean, airy, easy check-in and check-out, plenty of towels (and a washer/dryer) made our stay the greatest. Only way to enjoy Chicago is to stay here! Great walks to the Lake in the mornings, a couple of runs as well. Would recommend Lynn's place to anyone considering the perfect Chicago trip. Great hosts (even put our name on the door while we were here!).
