This newer four bedroom, three bath house is in the perfect location on the east side and is the perfect place to establish as home base for the ideal Austin Experience. Stay near downtown and close to great restaurants and the best area for nightlife in Austin. Great for SXSW.

With plenty of space to stretch out (1900+ square feet), you can sleep as many as 8 people in here.

Fully equipped, open kitchen with large spacious refrigerator, and there is a gas grill and smoker available for use. The kitchen looks into the open family room and dining space. The family room has a TV with AT&T Uverse (including HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, ESPN, etc). Free, fast wifi (1 Gig/s).

Bedroom one (master, downstairs) features a king size bed and private full bathroom.

Bedroom two (downstairs) features a queen bed (via pull out couch) and has its own private full bath.

Bedroom three (upstairs) is equipped with two twin beds.

Bedroom four (upstairs) has a queen bed with a shared full bath with bedroom three.

All three bathrooms have their own showers (or tub combo).

There is a desk available for use upstairs.

In the front of the house, there is a covered porch that looks off on the street and there's always plenty of great people watching, especially during SXSW. In the back, there is also a covered porch with a table and chairs for lounging (with more privacy). The backyard is spacious and will give you some room to stretch out. The lot next door is open and has a tetherball set up.

There are several easy ways to get around town. There are multiple bus lines that are within a five minute walk (2, 4, 22, 320, etc); the 2 line is a football throw away from the house. You can bike around town via Austin B-Cycle (bike sharing program), and there are multiple stations within a five minute walk from the house. At current rates, it's only a $5-7 rideshare home from most places downtown. To walk to the convention center takes about 20-25 minutes but is a 5 minute bike ride.

There is no need to get a car if you're staying here for SXSW. It costs $16-20 for a rideshare to / from ABIA airport. If you do get a car, there is off street parking for three cars, but parking on the street on Angelina is free (and not regulated like everywhere else downtown).

The property is located right off of east 11th, about half a mile east of I-35 (and Franklin BBQ). It backs right up to a food trailer (which includes one of the top BBQ trailers in Micklethwaite Craft Meats), and Eastside Pies (NY style pizza) is half a block away. Old Thousand (Chinese) and Blue Dahlia (French) are a five minute walk away in addition to Indian (Nasha), Japanese (Fukumoto), Italian, Greek (Kebabalicious), African, Creole/Cajun (Nubian Queen Lola's Soul Food), Tex-mex (El Chilito, Licha's, Takoba, Angie's, etc), and various Americana (Hightower, Chicon, Kuneho) and gastropubs options (all within a five or ten minute walk). Rock Star Bagels is less than a mile away. There are two East Side King locations within a mile (at The Liberty and at Whistler's).

There are countless food trucks nearby too (Paperboy, Juwanna Taco, Pueblo Viejo, etc etc). A visit to Austin without a food truck is not considered an official visit.

Beyond lots of restaurants, it's a short walk to the East 6th bar district (White Horse, Hotel Vegas, The Grackle, Shangri-La, Violet Crown), Red River bars / music venues (Stubbs, Cheer up Charlies, Empire Control Room), and to UT. If you're here for SXSW, rest easy knowing that you can walk home quicker than taking a cab or a rideshare.

This house is in the perfect location - close enough to downtown to walk or bike but still far enough to have a yard and some privacy at night.
