About Kauai Vacation Rentals
It all began with a vision. A desire to share the magical island of Kauai with the world. And, founder, Lucy Kawaihalau, has dedicated her life to that goal through Kauai Vacation Rentals. "In a vacation rental home or condo, you really feel like you're living here," reflects Lucy, "so bringing together home owners and guests to achieve the 'best fit' is only a part of our distinguished reputation. Our responsibilities are twofold. For our owners, we provide the best management and maintenance services so they can rest easy, knowing their homes are meticulously cared for, since they may be thousands of miles away from their investment. For our guests, we believe they should be treated like royalty." And, it is the respect for the guest that gained Kauai Vacation Rentals recognition throughout the world. A friendly team dedicated to serving the needs of guests, with attention to all the details, makes it all possible. "A vacation to Kauai is so meaningful," adds Lucy. "For some, it may be the trip of a lifetime. For others, it may be a yearly event. This is a splendid place to relax. Our guests are 'energized' when they go home. That's what we mean when we say, 'magical Kauai.' " This genuine business model embodies the Hawaiian word, 'Aloha,' and it has gained much recognition within the industry and business venues, including numerous awards. Many glowing articles have been written, from Kauai Business & Real Estate Magazine, Hawaii Business, and internationally distributed Travel & Leisure Magazine to famed Fortune Magazine. In fact, Lucy Kawaihalau was personally honored with coveted awards from the Small Business Administration and Kauai Chamber of Commerce for her successful business achievements. Lucy concludes, "I am deeply grateful for our recognition and awards. Yet, it is the phone call, with heartfelt and glowing remarks about a visit to Kauai from a satisfied guest that brings us great joy. Therein lies our greatest achievement."

A well appointed villa with a view of the mountains!
Upon entering this villa, we were instantly amazed by how spacious this unit was; the pictures do no justice! It was more than adequate for a party of six to sleep comfortably with guest parking right outside the front door. The two master bedrooms had spacious in-suite bathrooms and the A/C kept us well rested through the night and extinguished the humidity and discomfort throughout the day. Having A/C in the living room would have been nice too, but this wish is like trying to find a fault in paradise! The ceiling fans in the living room and in the kitchen were adequate. On full speed. Simulating the ideal climate of Vancouver in the spring would be somewhat pointless when on vacation, after all.
The balcony was a nice place to settle in with a book and tea first thing in the morning. The curious birds of Hawaii greeted us with the look of hunger, inquisitiveness, and trepidation while I read. The balcony was also a great place to hang out at night with a dazzling view of the night sky, free of light pollution.
We made a lot of use of the pool and hot tub at the club house every night after our daily excursions out on gruelling trails to see waterfalls, caves, beaches, and Queens Bath. The barbecue at the club house was also put to good use after our shopping extravaganza at Costco. The kitchen cabinets and drawers were well stocked with all the plates, mugs, glassware, knives, bottle openers and various other kitchen accessories.
From the beach towels to the folding chairs, snorkeling gear and insuite washer and dryer, this villa had everything we needed for a fantastic vacation and well deserving of the five-star rating I’m giving it! Well done, V of K, well done.
our stay in your wonderful vacation rental was awesome. everything we needed was provided for us from cooking utensils, washer dryer etc. the views are amazing from the lanai and waterfalls appear on the mountains after the rains. short drive to the grocery store for whatever you might need. access to the pool is a nice addition to a beautiful condo. it does get warm in the condo and two of the bedrooms had ac which was enjoyable although not sure why the 3rd bedroom does not have ac that would be the only thing that we could say that was lacking in our stay everything else was amazing
Great area. Close to fun places. Awesome views of mountains. A/C was great to have.
Clean and comfortable. It was a very warm week here, the A/C is only in two bedrooms which did cool down the condo enough to be comfortable, except for the 3rd bedroom. It was to hot to sleep in it. Kids slept on floor outside of down stairs bedroom. Was plenty of room and fold out beds.
Everything was perfect here!
We have stayed in V of K before and this unit was better than the first! Didn't know it could be any better!
Whats not to love
Location, views, features, condition all excellent, hard to fault.
Beautiful and quiet retreat for two couples.
We searched and searched for a condo with at least two king size beds and came across this one. Not only did it have two king beds, it had two master suites. Each master suite has a king size bed and a master bath with walk-in showers. One of the these has a Jacuzzi tub, too. There was also a smaller bedroom upon entering the unit with a queen bed and a bathroom across the hall. The washer and dryer in the unit made it especially nice because we didn't have to bring as many clothes and didn't have to find a laundry mat. We could wash our towels and clothes whenever we needed to. It even had laundry soap for us to use instead of bringing our own or buying some at the store. We had a beautiful view of the mountains to the south from the deck. The property is nicely landscaped and manicured. It's very quiet in the complex as its a gated community. No outside noise, no car traffic, nothing. Just peace and quiet; well, except for the local flock(s) of chickens. The roosters crowed quite a bit, but I'm a country boy, so it brought back a lot of memories working on the farm. Just a note about the chickens, no matter where you stay on Kauai, there will be chickens, and the roosters will be crowing. They should be the State Bird. The pool and hot tub at the club house was nice, too. We went there almost every day or evening to unwind and to meet some of the other renters and some of the full time residents. This was a perfect location for us. It's a short drive to the beaches on the north shore to swim, relax, and enjoy the sunsets; and, the Makai golf course is only about a quarter mile or less from the complex. We'd get up and go for walk in the mornings and head north and west down towards the St. Regis. The golf course is beautiful and as always found on the islands, flowers everywhere. The walking paths are well marked and it's very safe. I've provided this VRBO number and the Kauai Rental property link to several friends and recommended they attempt to use this location for their upcoming trips. Definitely one of the nicer VRBO rentals we stayed out. We'll definitely be back...
