Overview

About the property

Newly remodeled home with contemporary flare. Open, airy with specutacular view

Let the pictures tell the story! 2014 total renovation, Southern charm embraces Nantucket and it’s a success! I lived in New York and moved to the south, I had to infuse my northern upbringing with my husband’s southern charm. What my husband and I renovated, as a second home, is a 4500 square foot home with a 1000 square foot lighted patio deck that embraces all the native Palms, Segos, Hibiscus and tropical flora overlooking the widest point of the lagoon. Even though there are over 50 great restaurants on the island, my family and friends enjoy our paradise…. the sunsets, the smell of steaks on the grill, the relaxing living areas, the pool, lounging on the dock; no hassles and only one reservation; why go anywhere else.

When my family and friends walk into the foyer, they see original photography displayed by David Howard, a local artist and photographer. The look is clean, crisp and the hardwood floors are beautiful throughout the house. The house is “U” shape and the main floor contains the large kitchen, dining and living area. The open floor plan allows a spectacular view of the pool, lagoon, dock, and well-manicured yard.

The upstairs on the Southside is the first master suite overlooking the lagoon and pool. The master bedroom has a Juliet balcony that opens to the backyard, pool and lagoon. This master has a larger bath with a 9-foot double shower, double vanity and soaking tub with cedar closet. The master has a small sofa and a large armoire for additional clothing and a 42-inch flat screen TV.

The second master is also overlooking the spectacular lagoon and pool with another Juliette balcony. This master has the same king size bed and duvet, and most impressive, the same beautiful view of the pool and lagoon. The second master room and closet is just little smaller. The bathroom has a full marble shower that is 4 feet long.

The children’s bedroom is bright airy and nautical. Two sleigh beds, full bath with tub, TV, plantation shutters and privacy from the adults

The Study/4th bedroom has a Lazy boy 5-inch temporpedic memory form queen sleeper with TV, and half bath. Downstairs and total privacy, this room could easily sleep two people.

WOW!!!Billiard Room…. So you think you can play. Everybody says that! Watch the game, play pool, puzzles, beyond a man cave.

The Den with the Bar… entertain at the bar, and then move your party out to the deck. Bar has wine/beer cooler, glasses, set up. (Fireplace not available for use). The den has a 52-inch television with large sofa and 2 leather bomber recliner chairs. Downstairs powder room is in den area.

Kitchen: Stainless steel appliances; stove top range with vent, 2 themadore ovens, sub-zero refrigerator, bread warmer, Keurig & Oster Coffee Maker. Stone White place setting for 12 with all matching serving, appetizer, and desert dishes. Flatware for 12. Iron-clad pots/pans- all matching. Plenty of pantry room.

1200 square Deck: Adirondack chairs: 8 lounge chairs with 5 cocktail tables, large dining table for 6, table for 4, and 1 umbrella. Automatic lighting on steps, pool, yard, palm trees,

Lagoon Deck: 4 chairs 2 tables (this may vary depending on season), Fishing off the lagoon, catch and release but bring your fishing poles.

Internet: wifi-/ 7 televisions/

Sound System: Please bring your own systems

Laundry room: downstairs: shower/ washer/dryer/iron/dyson vac for rugs and hardwood floors

This house can sleep 8 and to maintain the integrity of the house we will not accommodate more guests

This home has been professionally designed and remodeled and your family and friends will appreciate the detail and décor thoughtfully coordinated for a wonderful vacation.

About The Owner

Rod and I have been on the island since 1995 and have fallen in love with Hilton Head. Before we retire, we will be renting our home for a few years. We put a great deal of time in renovations and attention to detail. This effort shows in every room and the layout of the house. We enjoy the backyard with the patio and pool overlooking the lagoon; therefore you can see the effort in the landscaping and outdoor entertainment set up we have provided. I know you appreciate the attention to detail.

The Owner purchased this house in 2013

What makes this house unique

It is all about the view, the pool with waterfall then step out on the 1000 square lighted deck then stroll to the lagoon and sit on the dock. The 4th row is a 8 minute walk to the beach, so after breakfast on the patio, off to the beach.

Family Hilton Head Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was our first vacation in Palmetto Dunes. I was so glad that I chose this home . Once you open the door it feels like home. Very beautiful, inviting and meticulous . The decor is top of the line. You can tell that the renovation was patiently thought out. You have everything you need except your grocery items.. Kitchen and baths are very well equipped . We ate in a lot because we didn't want to leave . You are a short walk or bike ride to the very large beautiful beach. I enjoyed sitting on the deck watching all the different types of birds that would join me for my morning coffee. Evenings were spent on the deck, playing pool, playing games or just hanging out. The photos on the website are spot on. It is a lovely home and will definitely book again.

Our Best Vacation Home Experience!

  • 5 of 5

When we opened the door to this vacation home, we knew it was going to be a fantastic experience. The photos on the website looked wonderful, but you never know for sure what you're going to see upon arrival. The only surprises were of the delightful kind. The home was spotless. The decor was described as Nantucket meets Southern Charm-well that's a perfect description of the ambiance of this home. Beautiful furnishings! The main living areas look out onto a beautiful lagoon. No matter where we were in the home, that lagoon was in our view. So peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped which came in handy since we have friends on the island and we had several gatherings where I cooked a variety of meals. I never had to shop for any utensil, etc.-all was provided.. Everyone loved the spacious pool/patio area and the sitting area by the lagoon edge was a favorite place later in the evening for us to sit and gaze at the stars. At night, the outdoor automatic lights come on and the effect is quite beautiful. I'm a light sleeper and have back issues, so I really appreciated the quietness of the area and the quality of the mattresses. You won't return home with a backache from sleeping on a poor mattress! The location in Palmetto Dunes is now are favorite. It's mid-island, so it's very convenient to any shopping or dining. We were called by Rod and Michelle after arriving and although we never had an issue during our stay, they were so gracious and 'guest oriented', I would have felt very comfortable calling them for any reason. We are looking forward to a return visit at their lovely home next year.

Simply the best

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this home with some friends over the Valentine weekend. What a beautiful house nestled in the spectacular community of Palmetto Dunes. This house is so charming and was spotless when we arrived. Just about a 5 minute walk from the beach. We spent one afternoon sitting out on the dock soaking up the beauty of the lagoon watching the pelicans and ducks. We played games in the parlor in the evening. The room has a full sized bar and wine cooler which came in handy when fixing beverages for the ladies. When we became tired of board games we moved to the pool room to shoot a couple games of pool before retiring to bed. Bathrooms are plentiful and conveniently located. Slept like a rock every night because the bed was so comfortable. We cooked in several meals and found the kitchen was very well equipped with pots and pans and great appliances. Love the windows in the back of the house that allow you to feel like you are outside while relaxing on the sofa or eating a meal.

Peaceful Perfection on Sea Lane

  • 5 of 5

Our family has stayed at many properties in Palmetto Dunes throughout the years. This home was our absolute favorite for so many reasons! This home has been completely refurbished and offers everything one could want in a vacation home. The decor is stunning and all the amenities are top notch. Michele and Rod called to welcome us the first evening and give us house details. We were in touch with them a few times over our two week stay and their response time is almost immediate. As beautiful as the home is on the inside, the outside was where we spent most of our time. The pool is extremely well kept and has wonderful benches perfect for reading on a hot day. The landscaping is amazingly beautiful; I think the yard is the prettiest I've seen in Palmetto Dunes. Many hours were spent fishing, reading, and relaxing on the dock. The lagoon has a wonderful breeze that comes through while sitting on the dock as well. The owners also provide wonderful beach chairs with pouches that made the short walk to the beach much easier. We typically eat out most nights for dinner while on vacation. This vacation, we didn't even want to leave this beautiful home, and ate in on several nights! Our family would love to stay at this property again, and we would encourage others to do the same!

Relaxing, beautiful, vacation home.

  • 5 of 5

This home was truly a vacation spot that you won't forget. The house was immaculately clean, decorated and furnished. The views out the back onto the Lagoon were breath-taking and extremely relaxing. The landscaping was beautiful and it doesn't hurt that the azalea's were blooming while we were there. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms amazing. Great location - only 5 - 10 minute short walk to the beach and short drive to restaurants and shops, groceries. Located on a quiet street with quiet neighbors that couldn't be seen due to the spacious lots and landscaping. We would book again next year without a doubt.

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

This was my family's first trip to Hilton Head and one we will never forget. From the moment we stepped in the front door, we knew we were going to have a great time. The home is perfection. No detail has been missed-from the nautical accessories to the hotel style shampoo and soap, each room has been decorated with ease, comfort and beauty in mind. This home is the perfect combination of elegance and comfort.

The beautiful serene view of the lagoon is the perfect place to start and end the day.

The house is in a great location- a 2 min drive to the beach and close to all of Hilton Heads shops and entertainment.

We had a couple questions in regards to the house during our stay and the owners were quick to respond.

My family would love to come back to Hilton Head and would absolutely look to rent this wonderful home again. We would highly recommend this house for anyone looking to have a memorable relaxing Hilton Head vacation.

During summer, go see the Tues/ Thursday events at Shelter cove; fireworks, musicals, vendors, and water exhibits. On holidays, we can see the fireworks from Shelter Cove and Sea Pines from our Dock. If I go shopping, I love Bleu for unique clothing and I also treat myself to sunglasses at Woodys. Take time to go to Bluffton old town on Saturday if they are having an event. Don't forget to rent bikes for the great bike paths throughout the island. PD has an 11 mile lagoon and you can rent kayaks or canoes. we have a dock so you can dock and make a sandwich and beverage during your adventure
