Rea Wrobel purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Rea Wrobel chose Black Hawk
We purchased this property in January 2014 and completely remodeled it with high-end custom finishes. We fell in love with the cabin's location (at the end of a road) and the privacy it offers as well as the small stream in the backyard.
What makes this Cabin unique
Moon Creek Cabin is very private, yet only a short drive to nearby towns Rollinsville and Nederland and the big city of Denver. You will be surrounded by nature and have access to great hiking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling or ATVing right from the doorstep. There is a small perennial stream in the backyard. We are also a short drive from Eldora Ski Resort. The cabin is very secluded and there are no neighbors. If you are looking for privacy in a beautiful forested mountain setting, this is the place!

Enchanting mountain getaway
Who would know that such a magical escape is atop a mountain just minutes from Nederland? We loved it from the minute we arrived ... the cook's kitchen, the wood stove with the exquisite stonework, the windows opening on mountain views, the deck overlooking the creek ... Moon Creek Cabin is a haven -- we and our pets were so at home here. Thank you for everything -- we'll be back! We only hope we can get a reservation after telling everyone we know about this wonderful place!
Cabin was super clean and had everything we needed for our ski trip. Close enough to Eldora but secluded enough to feel like you were the only people around. Great experience, would definitely stay here again!
Awesome cabin in beautiful setting.
Enjoyed peace and quiet, snowshoeing was perfect!
Moon Creek Cabin was a great place to stay. Very quiet and secluded get away from the busy city hustle. The cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is in a beautiful quiet location with easy access to awesome ATV trails. Rea and Jeff thought of all the little details to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. They were also easy to get ahold of when we had a question. I highly recommend this cabin as a great place to get away from it all.
Great - as always
We love this place - it's our third time - and we'll definitely be back. EVERYTHING you need to have a great time and relax in the mountains. Thank you for creating such a great experience!
We are located just 2 miles from the small mountain town of Rollinsville, Colorado. Nederland, Colorado, located about 10 minutes away is a quaint mountain town with many festivals including Frozen Dead Guy Days in the winter, High Peaks Art Festival, Miners Day, and NedFest Music Festival in summer. We are only 40 minutes to Boulder, Colorado and 1 hour to Denver. In addition, Rocky Mountain National Park is 45 minute drive away, Breckenridge is 1.5 hours away, and Vail, CO is 2 hours away. Like gambling - go to Black Hawk or Central City, located about 25 minutes away.
