Great studio, ideally located in the historic center of Montpellier in the middle of one of the prettiest streets in the pedestrian heart of town, quiet and close to everything!
The apartment has one bedroom open loft with a bed of 160x200, a living room with a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with WC.
The street is pedestrianized and has a real soul neighborhood with nice shops and lovely neighbors and shopkeepers.
The apartment, designed and decorated like a foot cozy and comfortable base is non-smoking, air conditioned and very pleasant.
You'll find inside numerous documents and guides to discover Montpellier and its magnificent museums, monuments, galleries and boutiques, as well as its surroundings and its hinterland, absolutely sublime.
For convenience, the railway station, trams and public parking join a short walk.
Adorable small loft that turned into a no-wifi nightmare after I had to schlep my bags down a stony street, up 5 STEEP flights of spiral staircase without any warning at all. The worst part of all however was that they had advertised free Wi-Fi and there was zero Wi-Fi. Zero Wi-Fi. My time there was for business immersion and I needed to be on the Internet for 12 to 14 hours per day. I specifically chose this location because of the ability to have Wi-Fi. After one day of no Wi-Fi I contacted the owner. She did reply within 24 hours. However the problem was never resolved. I continued without Wi-Fi and received over $600 in charges and fees from my carrier. My cell phone and computer were essentially functioning in Rome mode and I accumulated several hundred dollars worth of fees. I then found a hotel close by in town that was offering wi-Fi. I notified the homeowners that I would be relocating to a new hotel that had Wi-Fi and then I would expect a refund for the remaining days of my stay given that I would have to pay for two separate hotel rooms at the same time, not to mention the AT & T fees. At first the owner seemed to agree to refund the money. Later when I reminded the host again to refund the money owed she did not reply she has not responded to my text or email since.
There's a bed in the bedroom next to a hot water heater so be comfortable with that the bedroom is a crawl space loft where you have to climb a ladder. The bathroom is cute but only one towel and one wash cloth. This is exceptionally cute decor. Very cute. Best for traveller on a budget. Small people. Not ideal for people over 20 or who aren't in exceptional physical shape. Not good for long term travelers as there are no elevators. Not good if you need to work as this has no wifi.
Also I'm disappointed in the integrity of the people who should have not only refunded my last days there but they should have given a complete refund for the entire stay given the inconvenience that this trip has caused me.
Laetitia was a fantastic host. She met me at the flat exactly when she said she would. She had some goodies there for me upon my arrival as well. How nice! The location of the flat is perfect. It is very close to the Place de la Comedie, Place Royal du Peyrou, you can even walk to the zoo. The fresh food and produce market is 2 minutes from the front door and so many cafes and restaurants you will have a tough time making up your mind. The interior design of the flat is very warm and welcoming. There are cool little design touches everywhere you look. Vintage French clocks and mirrors, a cowhide rug, cool lighting and rustic exposed wood beams. It is a very comfortable place to hang out. I loved sleeping in the loft. It was like having my own little perch nestled high up in the heart of the city. I will be back. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did!
It was an adorable location, looked exactly like the pictures and the half a block walk to the restaurants and such was wonderful. We cooked breakfast one morning after walking a block to the market, we bought tea at the little shop next door to the apartment. Picking up the key was super simple and everything went smoothly. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the sleeping loft and the ladder. I'm 6'3" and navigating up there was a little tough. Instead we just slept on the futon in the main living space and it was really comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
