Lots of room

  • 4 of 5

Excellent kitchen that was well equipped and had big windows with lovely views. Large dining area, plenty of comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms for our party of eight. The deck could use some work but we still used it and enjoyed it. The property management staff was excellent and responded very quickly to answer any concerns. Our only real complaint was the smoke from wildfires in eastern Oregon. No one could fix that! But we did get to experience the total solar eclipse with clear skies in nearby Madras! Amazing! Change that rating to 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Great location! Plenty of space for game nights and privacy times. Definitely will come back here.

First time in Sunriver. We usually go to North Lake Tahoe but one of our daughters was not looking forward to the 2 day drive from Washington state so we decided to try Sunriver instead. Are we glad we did

This home has everything you need in the kitchen. Plenty of cookware and dishes. Slow cooker, waffle maker, and griddle.4 bdrm one with a set of bunk beds and a double bed my daughter and her husband slept in the double and their 2 boys were in the bunks. Bathroom designated to each bedroom which was great! Fort Rock park is across the street with plenty to do for all ages. Plus use of the swimming pools at Sharc Recreation is a huge plus. The house is very comfortable, just the way we like it. Just what I would expect a home to be out on the woods. It was a great trip and we would definitely book 8 Irish Mt lane again.

Large house, great location, expensive

  • 4 of 5

Very large home with lots of space. Nice extra room away from others for the older kids, with bunk beds. Wished there were more chairs around the kitchen table so we could all eat together (only 6 chairs, and no other chairs fit). Some minor maintenance issues noted (note left at this visit so they get addressed) but nothing serious. House is in a great location directly across from Fort rock park, which is convenient, but just know that means riding uphill on your bikes whenever you return; but pickleball and tennis is literally down the short street! SHARC and pickleball court passes that are included do save money but at $400/night total with all the fees, this wasn't cheap.

Great Location/Needs Upkeep

  • 1 of 5

The Good: Location

This property has an amazing location across from Fort Rock Park and a quick bike ride to the SHARC and Village. It also comes with SHARC passes and has the absolute perfect room for busy boys with Ping Pong and Foosball.

The Bad: Not kept up

- No Hot Tub - Well not really .. they have one but it is broken and appears to have been for a long time. It also smells like mildew. Yuck! If you see one in the pictures .. just know there is not one.

- Oven has a panel that swings out and several stove elements are not working.

- AC barely keeps up and you will need to drag fans out to stay cool.

- Fridge and Freezer also barely keep up.

- Wood on the deck is giving out and not stable. At some point someone will fall through.

- Lots of other details such as paint falling off walls, etc.

Location makes a difference but it does not overcome the need for some serious maintenance. For the cost this property this falls way short of expectations and was not acceptable. Very disappointing. It is a shame because it really is a unique and cool house with a great location. We just kept busy and were not in the house much which was a bit of a bummer after paying so much. Sun River is a great resort area and we made it fun but this was not a great house in its current state and we felt mislead and ripped off.

happy valley

enjoyable except for some minor things

  • 3 of 5

It was really great except the bikes need attention badly, or replaced. The stove top needs some repair, and all the frying pans are warped. This all is simple stuff................Its really roomy and fun for a big family!!!

Great Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our family vacation. The decor is a bit dated, but the furnishings were comfortable and it was very well kept. We enjoyed the ping pong and foosball tables. There are 8 bikes, however only one was big enough for us, so we ended up renting bikes, which was fine. If you have smaller kids, the bikes would work out for you. Bring your own tools for bike adjustments. The house is just across the road from Fort Rock Park, which has lots to do. It easily sleeps 8-10, but was perfect for our 6 guests. Lots of bathrooms. We'll rent this place again.
