Menehune Shores is an oceanfront complex in a low density peaceful area of North Kihei, twenty minutes from the airport between Maalaea harbor and Wailea. Truly oceanfront, there is a protected historic 16th century royal fish pond of Kalepolepo and snorkeling beach out front and the five mile long Sugar Beach extending from the property north to Maalaea, perfect for long morning and sunset walks. A heated pool and BBQ area are located in the tropically landscaped seaside grounds, and a rooftop BBQ and dining area provides stunning views of the ocean, Haleakala, the West Maui Mountains, Molokini, Kahoolawe, and Lanai. We had a wonderful time visiting Maui this past week. The condo was very nice and everything we expected plus more. We enjoyed the beach chairs, fluffy towels and the views from the lanai and the roof top. We were able to watch the whales from our view which was very exciting.

Thank you for the information in the notebook on places to eat and the referral on a Pearl Harbor tour.

Hope to come back and visit again.

I was very pleased with the ease and convenience of everything, from the location, stores nearby, rooftop grill, access too the ocean! I truly enjoyed myself! The condo was cozy and inviting! Great nights sleep just like home!

Great condo!

We had a wonderful stay, Malinee was so pleasant to work with and so helpful with all our questions. We traveled with our two teenage daughters and this unit was really big and roomy for the 4 of us. AC worked great, but the unit gets afternoon trade winds, so even though it was 90' we barely used the AC.

The kitchen was well equipped, we found everything we needed.

The pool was very nice and warm and clean. The beach had turtles up on it each morning.

The beach at the condo wasn't our favorite but we found some great beaches that were a close drive.

Clean, true to pictures, great location

Menehune Shores #407 was true to pictures and was everything it was advertised to be. It's an older residential building, but very clean and well-appointed. There were plenty of towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and even a snorkel to use! There is also wifi available and a fully equipped kitchen. The ocean front view is amazing, and we also enjoyed the closeby beach and heated pool. The lanai was a bit tight for anymore than 4 ppl (we had 4 adults + 2 kids).

Kihei is also well located to sights like Mount Haleakala and Road to Hana. We had initially considered staying in Ka'anapali but now glad we stayed in Kihei instead as it it would have added 40 min to our already long drives. Note that aside from the Indian restaurant on site, it didn't appear to have many stores and restaurants less than 15min walk away, so you will need a car.

Malinee was also extremely responsive and had everything ready as promised. At first we couldn't find the pack'n'play and called her at 9pm at night - she called back 10 min later. Checking in after hours was a breeze with Malinee providing us the code well beforehand.

The only slight knock on this place is that the face towels that were laid out had a slight odour to them. This is solved by tossing them in the wash with the provided detergent.

Overall, I would recommend this very reasonably priced, comfortable, clean unit for families visiting Maui.

Great condo, well located.

This is a well equipped condo. Beautiful view, fabulous sunsets. I would recommend staying here, handy to everything but quiet ,away from the business. The Old Lahaina luau was fun, well worth going to, but Book early,was sold out til July.
