Overview

About the property

Condo, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

The views from this home are unbelievable! Walk off our deck and you are on the beach! No shared community boardwalks or access points for your family to haul all your stuff. Set it, leave it, and enjoy.

This three bedroom, two bath condominium has been renovated using Australian cypress flooring, vaulted tongue and groove ceilings, luxurious linens, new bedding, carpet, baths, fireplace, and furnishings.

The sun sets directly over the ocean right in front of this unit for the most spectacular sunsets you have ever seen! Every room in this home has an unobstructed view of the ocean as well as the sound of the waves on the beach. You can literally sit on your deck relaxing while watching the kids play in the sand and surf. We just toss over the deck railing drinks and food whenever they are hungry. It cannot get any better than that.

The master bedroom has a King-size bed and private bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed while the third bedroom has two twin beds. There are two (extremely comfy) double futons in the living room giving you ample sleeping space. The kitchen comes fully-equipped and there is a full-size laundry room for your convenience.

This beach is incredible. Voted #1 beach in all of America (Port St. Joe State Park) three years in a row. White sand beaches, blue/green ocean, dolphins playing daily, loggerhead turtles, amazing fishing, and the infamous St. Joesph's State Park (where my kids find sand dollars the size of dinner plates). On the opposite side of this home is the bay. It has crystal clear water which you can wade in and see sting ray, sand dollars, fish, crabs, scallops, and all other kinds of sea life.

With all this being said I have saved the best for last. You can still ride horses on the beach, and have bonfires! We have fished right in front of this home, caught dinner, and then cooked it on the beach. This is definitely Old Florida, no crowds, beautiful sand and water, as well as complete relaxation. You are going to love it!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed a week at Beach Blast and from the moment we arrived we were relaxed and felt at home in the Mills condo. The colors that Kelly used make it look and feel like a resort and the views are absolutely off the chart. we have vacationed all over the Gulf coast and this is hands down our favorite spot for now on! Enjoy coffee in the morning and watch the nearly empty beach and dolphins until you are ready to get in the water. The waves were great for the first two days because of the storm out in Texas, so I got to surf and enjoy getting pounded by the ocean! The remainder of the week it returned to the Gulf waters we all know and love--crystal clear-blue-green and warm. Since this is a dog friendly beach, we brought our 3rd child Lilo who made friends on the beach and enjoyed it as much as we did. At night we enjoyed cooking on the deck and in Kelly's large kitchen, which has every concievable appliance and tool needed. Cape San Blas is a gem if you want to get away from it all. No stop lights, no fast food, no Publix, no Quick Trip and if you unplug the TV you can convince the kids that there is no cable TV out there too! At night you can hear the waves outside. I have not slept so well on a vacation! You know it is a good vacation when you are already talking about what dates to return! BEACH BLAST, we miss you and will see you soon!

Sunset Manor- Beach Blast-Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I have had one of the best vacations we have ever had. Peace and quiet. Only bad thing is the 27 steps. Place is real clean and every bedroom has a fantastic view of the Gulf. You look out the window and swear you are on a cruise ship. Front deck is one of the best in the area as it gets mid morning sun all the way thru sundown. The Mills have gone out of there way to accommodate all kinds of vacationers with Beach Blast. Shell hunters delight. If you feed seagulls you can actually name special ones. I think a few might follow us back to Ohio. The Grill in Apalachicola has some of the best food in the area. It has been there for over 100 years so I guess they know what they are doing. We would recommend this to anyone wanting a super nice hassle free vacation without all the houpla of big cities. If this place had an elevator it would be heaven on Earth. You can hear the waves 24 hours a day. Front deck is less than 50 feet from the Gulf.

Owner's Response: We are the second story to a Gulf front home. The stairs are broken down with 5/6 steps then a landing. There are 4 seperate landings. The excersise REALLY makes your cold beverage taste wonderful;-) Beach blast itself is all on one level once you arrive. These guests were awesome and hope to have them back soon!!!

Great stay in Beach Blast

  • 5 of 5

We thoughtfully enjoyed our stay in Beach Blast. The views from all angles are incredible. With the windows slightly cracked you could hear the ocean sounds at night from the master bedroom. Kelly is great to work with. Thanks again!

Greatest vacation EVER!!

  • 5 of 5

The views and home were just amazing. Spacious home, best location on the Cape. Fully stocked with anything and everything we needed. Owner sent us a list of favorite things to do on Cape San Blas and our only regret was we didn't have enough time to do them all. All in our clan agree it was the best vacation and we are making plans for returning soon! Thanks Kelly and Gary for sharing your home with us. What a Blessing!

70 steps from top floor to the beach

  • 4 of 5

6 of stayed the week of July 4th at Beach Blast! We had a blast! The home was everything as advertised! The crystal blue water of the gulf was magnificent! We enjoyed some sightseeing as well to Appalachicola and to the state park which is only a few miles away, The local shoppe for doughnuts in the morning and ice cream at night was muah! Love, love, loved our stay at Beach Blast!

Memory vacation

  • 5 of 5

Seven of us recently stayed at this beach house; 2 teens, 2 elderly, and 3 adults. We were pleasantly surprised at our stay. The beach was the best part. The condo was roomy and clean. Everyone had their own space and the deck was nice. All beds were comfy. I did some cooking and found most everything I needed in the kitchen. Just a couple of small things..TV in girl's room needs updating and shower head in front bath as well. Truthfully no one missed the tv and the shower made do. The stairs were a workout for us two old ladies, but we were prepared and the place was worth every step. We felt secure there and the others at the beach were friendly and good neighbors. It was a memory worth making for three generations of my family. Thanks for a lovely vacation!

Fantastic Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent the month of November 2014 in this vacation rental. This was a much needed trip as my wife is a cancer patient. The quiet surroundings and the beautiful Gulf view was exactly what we needed at the time. The local people were so nice and we were close to some very good eating establishments. Enjoyed the walks on the beach and shelling. Got in lots of surf fishing although I didn't catch much. Members of my family and a few friends visited us while we were there. My three grandaughters were there at Thanksgiving and I treated them to a horseback ride on the beach. Had the privilege of meeting the owners Gary and Kelly Mills at Thanksgiving and they were a joy to meet. If my wife's health will hold up we would certainly like to return there again somewhere down the road. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone wishing to visit the Cape San Blas area.
