This special apartment has been lovingly renovated with an eye toward authenticity, comfort, and beauty. The original heart pine flooring exudes a warm glow that only well worn restored original flooring can provide. All the rooms are illuminated with unique antique chandeliers, hanging lights, and floor lamps.
The master bedroom opens to the balcony with intricate wrought iron work. You can enjoy a beverage seated at the wrought iron table on the balcony while enjoying the views of scenic parkways that are famous to Aiken’s downtown area. The dining room is decorated with antique French and Italian marquetry furniture and can accommodate 6 at the dining room table. Of note are the hand-carved chairs that have been recently restored and were originally designed and used by Aiken’s historic Wilcox Inn.
Enjoy the original historic flavor of the original coal burning fireplaces (dining and living room), heart pine flooring, and original bead board paneling in the bathroom. The bathroom offers a luxurious marble custom built shower and one-of-a-kind hand painted pedestal sink.
The living room is comfortably appointed with a large over-sized couch, fire place, large high definition 55 inch smart (Internet) TV and high speed wireless Internet.
