We were very pleased to find this apartment for my father when he needed to spend a month in Toronto. He really enjoyed the beautiful view, lovely walks in the park, and comfortable and clean apartment. Grocery shopping is very convenient nearby, and we took advantage of the Saturday farmer's market. Assunta was very quick to respond to any questions we had.
We had the pleasure of staying here for 2 months. It was wonderful waking up every morning to see such a great view of the lake, the city, the marina and the park. I would highly recommend getting up early for the sun rise over the city. The apartment has everything you need, very well equipped. There is a very nice balcony to sit out on and enjoy a beverage and watch the sail boats or the lights of the city in the evening. The bedroom has a nice big walk in closet and the bed is very comfortable. The location is great. The park is right across the road with trails for walking, running or cycling. We also enjoyed BBQing at the lake shore. From May to October there is a very good Farmer's Market in the parking lot. Almost right next door to the building is a grocery store, drug store, bank and LCBO. The street car stops right outside of the building and it is only a 10 minute drive into the city, a bit longer with traffic. There are some good restaurants within walking distance, including Italian and Indian. We really enjoyed staying there and miss the view!
Wish we had stayed a few more days. Loved the location and the unit that had everything we needed except we couldn't find a kettle and bedroom carpet needed cleaning/replaced. We had locals over for dinner one night so they could enjoy the stunning view. Bring eye shades if you want to sleep after sunrise although the bed and linens were wonderful. Took the street car that stops out front too Toronto Islands for a really fun day in the sun. Supermarket next door was also great. Really enjoyed watching evening vista of downtown lights and planes leaving Billy Bishop Airport.
My wife and I rented this condo unit for a short stay in Toronto... The unit is fantastic with a beautiful panoramic view of the lake and Toronto from the 30th floor balcony... The furnishings and decorations are top notch... and has all the facilities for a long stay... Check-in was easy and fast with someone to meet us and give us the keys and directing us to the indoor parking provided... The only problem was that our stay was too short (due to unit availability)... We can safely say that we would rent this place again in the future (since this trip WAS a return visit)...
We have stayed in well over a dozen VRBOs and this one is difficult to review. On the positive side: the view from the 30th floor facing the water was stunning, the condo was very clean and modern, there was secure underground parking, easy access to the freeway and there were lovely walking trails nearby along the water. The amenities in the building were good (although the pool and hot tub were closed for repairs). Communication with the owner (i.e. booking, check-in, check-out) was all efficiently handled, but (and this was a big BUT for us), the condo did not feel set up for paying guests. Yes, the hangers in the closets were cleared and the dresser was emptied, but it was very obvious that someone still lived in the condo: refrigerator was filled with food (including perishables), pantry stocked (including butter in a wrapped dish), cloth storage boxes filled with personal items in the bedroom closet, entry closet filled with small appliances, and shelves in living area filled with personal items. It felt awkward having to dig through crammed kitchen drawers to try to find a basic measuring cup to make oatmeal in the morning (and we never could find a measuring cup). Even the large deck with the amazing view had a folded table and stacked chairs stored against the wall, but the owner only left out two plastic chairs (without a small table) for guests. Even more disappointing was the fact that the dining room pictured on the website (which in no way should be advertised as a “den”) was not set up: instead, the chairs were stacked up and the cubby blocked off by what looked like two pieces of a sectional couch. In a condo this small, we were not impressed. Yet as lived-in as the condo was, there was no place to hang towels in the bathroom (not even a hand towel), only two out of three windows in the bedroom had window coverings (which meant waking up when the sun came up whether you wanted to or not) and the bedroom was so small there wasn’t even room for a single nightstand. We are used to staying in VRBO condos that are set up for guests. This one felt like the owner had simply left to stay with friends for a few days so we could stay in it. While that might be okay for some VRBO users (if they are forewarned) it was not okay with us (hence the low rating).
We enjoyed our stay at this condo. The owner was very nice and pleasant to deal with, the condo was great, with a beautiful view of the water. There were trails nearby to walk (and get a break from the city). Overall a great experience. We would definitely stay here again!
