This is a quaint one bedroom, one bath farmhouse with beautifully redone accents and more. The house includes a large combination living and dining space and an enclosed sleeping porch. It is nestled in between historic buildings that include several barns, a historic one room house, chicken coop and a pump house. It is set on a backdrop of rowed pine trees. The appliances include an electric stove, refrigerator, washer, dryer and heating/cooling. The farmhouse had its first guest February 1, 2015.
I grew up in this house and went to school in Silverhill. As an adult, I moved to southern California and raised a family before coming back to my roots. I love living in Baldwin County but especially love the small town of Silverhill.
Betty Heinze purchased this farmhouse in 1926
My favorite place to hang out is the sleeping porch. I have fond memories of daydreaming or reading on the porch with the gentle sun streaming in.
Clean and rustic. As always, Betty thinks of everything! The property was great for our puppy's first vacation experience. Very homey, and comfortable. Would recommend this property if you want a quiet peaceful environment to relax in.
We were looking for a place to stay for the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Fair. The home is conveniently located between Fairhope and Robertsdale. The homeowner is very easy to work with and the home is clean, comfortable and so charming. I recommend it for anyone wanting some peace and quiet.
My wife and our 2, 4-legged children stayed here over a weekend in June. What a charming little jewel of a property this place is. Plenty of space, well stocked, clean and full of Southern charm. The owner had excellent communication throughout the entire process. We will definitely stay here again when traveling to this area and would highly recommend to others. Very close to downtown Fairhope.
This farmhouse is exactly what it says it is. Very clean, decorated very cute, & very quiet. Very close to the quaint town of Silverhill & Fairhope too. Great place to wind down & relax!
My wife and I stayed at this beautiful farmhouse for over a month last April. To say that it is a serene and tranquil setting is a massive understatement. There are fields and woods and many historic buildings that harken back to another time and a less hectic way of life. We are retired and writing is our new vocation, this charming place is the perfect setting. We will definitely return! We were extremely pleased with everything. The owner responds promptly to any questions/concerns and the house has been completely renovated to be attractive and comfortable, yet retain its original charm. There were enough supplies in the kitchen and laundry for us to stay an entire year! Our favorite time was in the mornings on the back porch watching the dozens of species of songbirds! We hope it will be available the next time we are able to visit! Fairhope is just a short drive away.
Guests have a peaceful setting to relax but are also a short distance from Fairhope, Point Clear, Daphne, Spanish Fort, Loxley, Robertsdale, Foley, Gulf Shores, Mobile and Pensacola, Florida. These areas are filled with restaurants, groceries, antiques, shops, movie theaters . . .
