Best of all is the 3-mile stretch of sandy pine point beach. The southern end of the beach is the boardwalk of old orchard. The northern end of the beach is bordered by the nonesuch river with a view of the black point inn. Around the bend are local lobster boats coming and going, seals riding the current, an oyster farm and people fishing off the pier and breakwater. The town landing with a harbor master shares recreational boat access with a working waterfront.

I am a restauranteur and chef and have owned several restaurants in the Portland area and Boston.
I garden for fun and food, love music, travel, art, books, people, food and conversation. I am basically a social person but leave guests alone in their private apartment and am here to help. I love where we live and want to show off my town!
I love to enjoy the area I'm in whether I'm traveling or home.
I constantly pinch myself because where we live is special. I am so lucky to be across the street from one of the best beaches in Maine AND only 20 minutes from Portland. The is so much to do here and yet it's easy to do nothing!
The apartment is a real Oasis and contains everything that you need for a few nights or an extended stay. There is plenty to do in the area: the options are endless! There are also 4 chickens on the property.
First let me say that Pauline and Cheryl were both so welcoming, warm and a real pleasure. The property offered so much more than a modern apartment. There is a covered patio, which was very useful when we wanted to get out of the sun but stay outside. The yard also offered a fire pit and lovely gardens. All this made for a wonderful vacation that we would like to repete. Also just a note, the shower was also awesome, Plenty of hot water and water pressure, those of you who have experienced the other end will know how appreciated this is! The beach is a short walk maybe 5 min. I really can't say enough good things about this property or the owners. Hope to be back in 2017.
Very cozy and comfortable . Definitely recommend if you want a peaceful getaway.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. The apartment has a lot of space and the kitchen has everything you need to cook. The beach is less than 2 minutes by walking and is very nice.
Pauline and Cheryl were pleasant and helpful. We felt welcome and comfortable.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and have zero complaints! The walk to the beach was less then a minute away and a short drive away from OOB. Everything you can think of and more is provided to you! Will defintely come back and will reccomened it to friends & family. :)
My husband and I were in Maine for a long weekend to start our vacation in the northeast. Upon arriving we were greeted and shown into the spacious apartment. There were fresh eggs in the fridge from the chickens out back and we were able to make a delicious egg breakfast with them. We didn't spend much time in the apartment as we were checking out local sites but it was a great location to visit lighthouses, Portland, Freeport, Kennebunkport, and even Portsmouth, NH. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen to make breakfast and dinner. There is ample closet space. You are about a "block" from the beach. I say "block" because you are mostly walking on a sand path to get there. It is very convenient. I highly recommend this apartment and only wish we had more time to relax in the beautiful apartment.
Cheryl & family were so welcoming right from the start. My fiance and I got engaged on this trip so you could imagine I put a little more expectation on the place. We started by walking in and thinking how clean and nice the space was. Then we started to look around more and we couldn't help but notice thet had every single utensil, pot, pan, lime squeezer, crackers for lobsters... etc. I could keep going. Everything you coukd need. Lastly, the space is a perfect romantic getaway for 2. Super cozy, the back yard was private and quiet. Overall, extremely clean, organized, well laid out and has every amenity you could dream of. We will be staying here again and again, as well as family members who are now interested as well.
